“NFTs might be down, but NFT tech isn’t going anywhere” What is so great about NFT tech?? NFTs are an extremely expensive way to track digital asset ownership and the benefit of this expense is to enable functionality (lending, staking, etc) that 95% of people do not use! NFT tech also enables some amazing on-chain art! I’ve helped @piv_piv and @duvtale create some classic stuff on capsule21.com. But again, 95% of people do not care about whether an NFT is “on-chain.” I LOVE NFTs and have created a LOT of them! I wish people cared more about composability and on-chainness. But wishing will not make this happen. The NFT experiment has generated amazing data! Let’s use this data to create something people actually want. Obviously I think Ethscriptions are the way, but I will support any alternatives because I believe we can all do much better than the current paradigm!
