New webinars: Supporting pupils with SEND to access the curriculum There can be a tendency to think that pupils with additional needs can’t cope with an ambitious curriculum. However, there is plenty of evidence to show that they are in fact capable of getting to grips with rich, demanding content. /1

Our Key Stage One children had a great morning learning about France as part of our Primary Languages curriculum. The morning started with croissants followed by learning French greetings, locating France on a globe and building their very own Eiffel Towers. 🇫🇷

Year 5 children @lea_forest_aet have produced these wonderful alien collages, using a range of papers printed and painted by the young artists. The artwork will exhibited in the school art gallery in the new year.

It’s hard to believe that we have just passed the 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of me doodling this scruffy little sketch. It’s not a great drawing but I really liked the idea & later that year I developed it into my debut picture book. Things have been pretty gosh darn bonkers ever since

This term our “Spotlight on” is the fabulous poet and author Joshua Seigal. During our assembly yesterday we unanimously decided that we don’t like poetry we LOVE poetry. Our favourite poem was the hilarious Addicted to Chicken. @joshuaseigal Thank you for the signed copy.

During Science today, Year 2 observed and grouped plants in different ways. They even grouped food plants based on which part of the plant can be eaten.

The whole school had the best time watching the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime this afternoon. Big thank you @TrinityArtsGain for looking after us all so well and a huge thank you to the Henry Smith Charity for supporting our school to take all our pupils to the panto for FREE.

Massive well done to our fantastic Year 1 and 2 children who performed their Christmas play to the whole school this morning. Such wonderful singing and beautiful costumes. 👏 🌟
