I like #HVPE and have a big holding. I put its historic performance down to its business model and culture. I see no reason why it should not continue to outperform. The current large discount to NAV is a great buying opportunity. I wish I had more cash to invest.

@TheSecretAcct @marben100 @money2themasses #HVPE is remarkably diversified, I believe it has exposure to 1700 underlying companies. So to beat the market over an extended period is a great achievement as such beasts can easily become closer trackers

Should companies ask their in house brokers for permission to share their reports online so all can see them?
I can see the logic about why give it away for free when the buy side want the privileged information, so they can buy before the market gets to hear it. Mates..

investors access to their reports. However some enlightened companies have started agreeing with their brokers that they will publish (some) broker reports. Access to good analyst reports is part of the way companies can ensure that they act fairly between shareholders.

A head of research at a major broker has been in touch asking me to remove some of their content I’ve reposted, which is fine. But I don’t understand why the rules don’t allow retail punters access to research. It was Mifid nonsense and should be repealed #shareallresearch

The nanny state wants to protect retail investors from harm. I think the FCA requires all those who receive broker reports to be sophisticated investors. The knock on effect is huge admin for the brokers to ensure they comply, so some brokers do not allow ANY retail …tbc 1 of x

#UseYourVote for this shareholder resolution to make fat people fitter. 20% of those living in the most deprived areas in the UK are Obese, compared to 8% in the least deprived areas. Education and culture change are crucial. Unilever can lead in this.
