With XerahS, we just dropped FluentAvaloniaUI in favor of official Avalonia controls and theming. FluentAvaloniaUI gave us WinUI-style widgets fast, but it was a third-party layer sitting on top of Avalonia's own theme system. Version skew, workarounds, and constraints you don't sign up for willingly. Going back to native Avalonia means the app renders closer to what the framework actually intended. Fewer hacks, better maintainability, and a codebase that moves with Avalonia rather than around it. ~McoreD

We have enabled the modern image editor by default in dev builds. If you prefer not to use the new image editor, you can continue using the legacy image editor by enabling it in Task Settings → Tools → Image Editor.

@ShareX Smart Eraser erases everything - graphics and original images. Bug: And/or changes the color of the area it is used on. What are you going to save for Premium?

We’d really appreciate it if you could test the modern image editor in the dev build and send us your feedback. I’m particularly interested in bug reports, as I’m trying to fix every issue I can before release. In the dev build, you can enable the modern image editor by going to Application Settings → Advanced → UseModernImageEditor, since it is not enabled by default.

I wish it could export animated GIF.

A Linux version is avaiable via XerahS, not ShareX.

@besodemieterd @ShareX might not ever happen unfortunately. It's much like paint.net, a good application marooned on the sloperating system. my hope is one day KDE Spectacle will get good enough to replace it more or less.
