@PalmyrPar The GabeCube mini PC? I doubt it, the best alternative to a Windows PC for gaming will be Xbox Helix.

There’s a lot of work underway that Pavan shared earlier today. Something that I know has been at the top of a lot of people’s minds is the feeling that feedback goes into a void, without real people to review and see it on the other side. To help with that, I’ll be taking on an expanded role as the exec sponsor of the Windows Insider Program to listen, engage, and help shape what’s ahead with the Windows community. Over the coming weeks, we’ll also introduce you to members of the product teams that will help you get answers on the topics you care about most. I’d love to hear from you. What would you like to see more of from us as we get started?

The team and I have spent the past several months analyzing feedback from the community. What came through was the voice of people who care deeply about Windows and want it to be better. Read this blog post to learn more about what we're doing in response as we look to raise the bar on Windows 11 quality. Please keep the feedback coming, to help us shape the future of Windows together. blogs.windows.com/windows-inside…

@marcusash @AdamFilipMiko I think it's better not to spend effort and time obscuring old interfaces, they need to be modernized (WinUI).

@AdamFilipMiko Thanks Adam. We started with extending dark mode in the Run dialog and various File Explorer surfaces to address customer asks. At the same time, we are building out tooling to scale modernizing other dialogs across Windows 11 that were built in legacy frameworks.

@stevesi I disagree, echo chambers are not a better alternative. It's not about listening to requests, it's about listening to the reception of the product.

Microsoft's Windows chief Pavan Davuluri announced today that the company is focusing on major improvements to Windows 11, driven by user feedback. The planned changes include: - Faster File Explorer launch times - Lower overall memory usage - Fewer crashes and blue screens - More reliable wake-from-sleep behavior - Ability to move the taskbar to any screen edge - Less intrusive updates with improved pause options - Reduced notification clutter and "noise" - Scaling back unnecessary Copilot integrations in apps "These improvements will start previewing for Windows Insiders in the coming weeks."

We're turning Insider feedback into real improvements across Windows 11. More focus on performance, reliability, and being thoughtful about where Copilot shows up, so the experience feels simpler, not busier. Appreciate everyone who is giving feedback to make our products the best they can be.

@pavandavuluri @GaetanDezeiraud This is a step in the right direction @pavandavuluri. Listening to and reconnecting with the community, breaking out of the office echo chamber, doubling down on native development (WinUI), and aggressively competing on performance against other OSes.

Sony is reportedly working on its own dedicated PC launcher for PlayStation games. >PSN account to play, let Sony keep 100% of the revenue instead of giving a cut to Steam >Possibly block their titles from running on Microsoft’s upcoming Project Helix hybrid console. >The first major title to use this approach could be Marvel’s Wolverine. Sony has not made any official statement yet.

@PigeonGoGaming @Pirat_Nation The number of users and spending on third-party games grows year after year on Epic, so it's working. At least these other stores invest in third-party developments, in addition to their own games.

@Pirat_Nation Sony is fundamentally misunderstanding the PC audience if they think PlayStation games are enough to make the mass audience install another PC launcher. That strategy doesn't work on PC. I didn't work for EPIC when they made titles exclusive, and even gave out free games.

I'm thankful this got such a positive reaction so let me share some tips on how I made these. The animation here is straight forward but what elevates the piece is: -lighting -materials For the lighting, GOBOS ARE EVERYTHING! I put a gobo from the top left at a low angle but that usually doesn't light everything. So I add a large area light for some flat shading with the gobo providing the highlights. After that I add some rim lights for better highlights on metallic objects. The materials are super simple as well, no need to go overboard with. Subtle variations in roughness and a light bump is all you need.
Filip Golubovic@filip_animation

I use Blender 3D And this is the type of work I usually produce with ti, 3D animations for websites.
