@mjrd31 @OneManCircus87 @VorosTwins And yes I’m sure there was some guy called Jesus who was a good person etc. but son of God? No.
English

The thing is there’s being raised an atheist and not believing in god, then there’s denying pure historical facts because of ignorance. There was a man called Jesus who was a Jesus preacher and executed under Pontius Pilate. Witness account from disciples did claim that they had visions of Jesus risen after he was killed, he did have 2 disciples called Peter and James. Paul literally detailed meeting Peter and James and then wrote letters to help form Christianity as we know it now. This is all real definite fact. At this time writing was not the common thing to do to spread word, it was verbal communication and getting out there to core groups. Hence why for years after there’s not many written accounts. It’s only when Paul wrote to specific places the accounts started to form, then the Gospels were written based on anonymous letters found. I understand the god thing, but Jesus cannot be died as a true testament to passion, forgiveness, kindness, compassion and formed the blueprint moral guidelines of a civilisation which expanded to what it is today. Aetheists who deny this historic concept out of ‘don’t believe in a god’ are actually ignorant as shit to what Christianity is all about beyond ‘a god’

@mjrd31 @OneManCircus87 @VorosTwins “Visions” don’t make it fact though either. I’ve seen no solid evidence of an existence of God so I don’t believe. It’s as simple as that for me. Not interesting in the teachings that are based on a there apparently could be some mighty deity in the sky.
English

@OneManCircus87 @VorosTwins To be fair, 52 year old atheist here raised in an atheist household and I didn’t know how “Jesus” died the second time either. No question is stupid if you don’t know the answer. I don’t know anyone that reads or studies the bible or believes any of it.🤷🏻♀️
English

He didn't die a 'second time,' you walnut…. After the resurrection He spent 40 days appearing to the disciples (eating fish, showing the wounds, teaching), then ascended bodily into heaven right in front of them. It's literally in the Bible (Acts 1, Luke 24).
The Easter Bunny is just your midwit attempt at a gotcha. Maybe read the actual source material instead of shitposting fake ignorance on Easter weekend. 🙄

“Middlesbrough could tear Coventry apart on Monday night” 😬

@Hazard10_CFC Good to see you've replaced Big Ben with Jupiter as obvious Cov landmarks 😂
English

@sapperadam @eu_bike @TrumpetDave @Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV 75 plate from work 🤷🏻♀️ was a Nissan though! 🤣
English

@SharonHerbert @eu_bike @TrumpetDave @Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV You've obviously got an older model of regen braking. The cars I've driven with it do not do that. It's a gentle deceleration rather than braking.
English

Coventry City are set to launch their text-a-sub idea next season, should they make it to the Premier League.
Season ticket holders will be able to vote for one sub per match, with Frank Lampard forced to make the change at 60 minutes.
Revolutionary.

@eu_bike @TrumpetDave @Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV As I say I don’t like it! Too aggressive - instead of slowing by just lifting of the accelerator as you normally would, it actively brakes for you instead. Horrible tech.
English

@SharonHerbert @TrumpetDave @Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV You modulate your foot. If you need to slow that much, you'd be pressing the brake if not using regen.
English

@TrumpetDave @Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV You can see the number plate behind you light up plus you can feel you’re actively braking without using the brake. It’s awful as I say.
English

@SharonHerbert @Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV Well in my car there is no option to turn it off and the brake lights only come on if I depress the brake pedal. So I’m not sure how you know they come on.
English

@Keroppo @SimonMcCoyTV Incorrect. If you turn on regenerative braking the car brakes for you each time you lift off the accelerator. It’s awful I always deactivate it. Have driven several models as a dealership accountant and they all do this.
English

@SimonMcCoyTV There is no need to take the foot off the accelerator to regen and regen doesn't automatically trigger the brake lights, it's a matter of deceleration. You can be in regen at constant speed, e.g. when going down hill, or when slightly decelerating, and brake lights are not on.

@KateFantom 19° is not a warm house - we set ours to 22°! Other than that sounds great!
English

Inside of our house is sat at 19 degrees.
Outside it is 5 degress
Our heat pump is ticking over at 900W
All the energy it requires is being supplied from our battery that was topped up from our solar earlier today.
This will be common place for the next 8 months.
Heat pumps work
Solar works
Battery storage works
If you can, this is very worthwhile investment.

@PaulEmbery “They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”

@slide_salad My lot always leave early. Dad is 77 and even thought we only live in Bulkington if they leave after the final whistle it’s ninety minutes to get home. It should be 15.
