Dr Michael Hill emphasised the importance of speed in thrombectomy.
“We’re not tidy - sacrifice everything for speed.
“If not under 60 minutes from door-to-puncture, you’re not going fast enough.”
But even the fastest thrombectomy services in England take over 2 hours. #UKSF24

Stroke patients are worse off now than they were 10 years ago when it comes to treatment on stroke units, due to a post-pandemic slump.

Storytelling is a core capability for leaders of change. Stories are the building blocks of empathy & compassion and a way of getting to the heart of who you are. They foster feelings of community & connection. They can help people feel more in control & less alone in the challenges they face. Leaders who tell compelling stories can move their audience from apathy to empathy & ultimately to action.
