What a day for the stable! Idle Flyer was brilliant taking out the Group 2 Emancipation Stakes at Rosehill yesterday. We love this mare to bits. She’s so tough and she always gives her all. The team also did us proud at Wyong with Autumn Winter and Show Business saluting, while Eureka Rebel and Portland both delivered Group placings at Rosehill. A big congratulations to all our owners and connections.

IL PASSERO books his place in the Provincial-Midway Championships Final! An easy win to the @littracing gelding as he completes a hat-trick taking the @WyongRaceClub qualifier over Flying Embers, who also qualifies, with Mailata third. @tabcomau

That Stung … Sizzling performance from the @lindsayparkrace trained 3YO filly, Stung, to capture her first stakes victory in the Listed Clare Lindop Stakes over 1600m at Morphettville. Having her 4th start – 3 wins! – Stung is the 40th stakes winner for @ArrowfieldStud’s Dundeel (successful earlier in the day with Group 2 Emancipation winner Idle Flyer) and a half sister to stakes winner Aktau. Stung is bred and part-owned by Rupert Legh. @SAJockeyClub

Rosehill Is About To Host A Full Blown History Party  And Everyone Is Invited 🎉🏇🔥 This Saturday at is not just a race meeting. It is a full-blown, no-holds-barred celebration of greatness, a spectacle where history will be ripped from the record books and shoved onto a giant, glittering stage. Five Group 1 races in one afternoon. The sport’s elite horses, trainers, and jockeys all colliding in a storm of speed, skill, and sheer audacity. And right in the middle of it stands 1 victories, held by the legendary. Think about that. A record built over thirty years, forged in sweat, brilliance, and raw perseverance. And now, a 34-year-old is about to step up and make it look easy. Oliver retired at 53 after decades of defining Australian racing. His number was untouchable. Sacred. Legendary. And yet here comes McDonald. Nineteen years younger than Oliver when he hung up the boots. Charging at the record like a man possessed, like a hurricane in boots. This is no slow crawl to glory. This is a full-throttle takeover, and it started when he was just 16, riding his first Group 1 winner in his home country of . Sixteen. While other kids were finishing school, McDonald was already taking the highest stage in racing by storm. Since then, he has dominated everywhere: Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Europe, the Middle East. The biggest races in the world? They are his playground, and every time he mounts a horse, the competition knows they’re in for a brutal masterclass. The best trainers want him. The biggest owners chase him. The top horses run for him. And when the dust settles, he’s the one walking back to scale with the trophy while everyone else is left gasping. This Saturday, the world will watch a record that took three decades to build begin to crumble under the weight of sheer talent, courage, and audacity. If McDonald equals 129 at 34, he is not just catching Oliver. He is about to obliterate the record entirely. The numbers don’t lie. The pace doesn’t stop. The trajectory is insane. What once looked like the summit of Australian racing? That mountain is now McDonald’s warm-up. This is more than a race meeting. This is a party of epic proportions, a celebration of dominance, speed, and fearless ambition. The confetti is imaginary but the impact will be felt for decades. So when the gates fly open at Rosehill this weekend, understand what you’re seeing: Not just racing. Not just horses running fast. Not just a jockey chasing history. You are witnessing James McDonald rewriting the record books, turning the impossible into a global spectacle, and throwing the biggest, loudest, most historic party the sport has ever seen. And the guest of honour? Only 34 years old. 🎉🔥🏇💥

i dont care who you are , if you are a racing person and didnt have a little tear in the eye when George Simon said "go girl" as Legarto hit the front and won her final race start and her 5th Group 1 then you have a heart of stone .What a ride it has been , i spotted her running 4th in a trial at Taupo back in April 22 running home late ,contacted my friend Megan Winter who told me she thought she was very special .She was spot on , 2 months later Legarto debuted at Matamata over 1100m and bolted in 3.5 lengths with Taiki Yanagida on board .She went on to win 4 more races in a row including the 5 length win in the G1 1000 Guineas at Riccarton.Unlucky 4th in the karaka millions mile when she got knocked over at the top of the straight then she was then off to Melbourne for what was, in my opinion Legartos "Piece de resistance " beating the best 3yos in the G1 Australian Guineas ,flying home as usual and getting up in the last few strides ,with Mick Dee in the saddle . .She then won the Group 1 Herbie Dyke as a 4yo , missed a lot of her 5 yo campaign because of injury , then came back and finished off her career with back to back group 1s with Opie Bosson riding as a 6yo . 24 starts 12 wins 5 at Group 1 level and 3.5 million in prizemoney . Lulu goes out like all champions should on a high note .Incredible horse trained by elite trainers Ken and Bev Kelso and she was looked after by her best friend and track rider Megan Winter @megan_winter17 for her entire career .Happy retirement Lulu

Vicky Leonard Personal Statement A Concerns Notice to TTR issued by Peter V’landys makes false, shockingly damaging allegations about Lindy and me, twisting National Thoroughbred Week and Pony Racing to be for our personal financial gain. We have now received a further letter today following the TTRs statement on this matter. It makes me sick to my stomach that I have to defend our work - delivered off our own bat because our leaders wouldn’t do it - but this is how low our standards of governance have fallen.
