James White takes issue with John MacArthur's position that all infants and unborn children who die go to heaven. White argues that the same election that applies to adults applies to infants, meaning there are elect infants and non-elect infants. In his view, God makes no exception for the unborn or the very young when it comes to election and its consequences.

A friend, upon posting this, said, rightly, "Ever notice that the gospel is never their answer?" He is right, of course. This is Christless Nationalism. It can't have the gospel as its power since it is a political movement wearing a religious mask, nothing more. And the amazing thing is, these guys are so benighted they don't realize that without the Spirit sweeping across a nation or a culture, the powers they think they possess can, and will, be used against *them*. One major national election tilting to the left and the "ban Hinduism" mantra becomes the "ban Christianity" mantra and they won't have the slightest ground of complaint. They just don't get that our only hope, and our only power, is the gospel, not the state. Christless Nationalism is a caricature that may well have tragic consequences.

as I've explained to you via text, there was no "against" it's an armchair discussion. we removed "debate" from any of the titles. Trent was a stand in for Michael Knowles, Josh was already speaking at the summit, we wanted to have representation of EO... because if we hadn't, then we would have gotten complaints about not having someone EO there. I'm open to recommendations moving forward. I thought Josh did amazing. there was no formal structure. You've had newer protestants call in to your show and invited folks on that aren't very versed in church history. Josh knew what we were discussing and the format and had the blessing of his spiritual father. don't see what there's to complain about it.

Over the past several months, I’ve been taking a step back and really trying to examine what I believe and why. I didn’t want to just default to what I’ve always held, I wanted to test it. So I started digging deeper into church history, reading the early fathers, and trying to understand how close my theology was to theirs. Ignatius, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus… the more I read, the more I realized how seriously the early church spoke about things like the Eucharist, the unity of the church, and continuity with what came before. It forced me to slow down and really wrestle with whether my framework fully accounted for that. So I spent time in prayer, asking for clarity. Not just quick prayers, but genuinely asking for guidance, asking to be corrected if I was wrong, and to be lead to the truth no matter where it went. Last week, after thinking through all of this, I did something I’ve never done before. I directed a prayer to Mary. I asked for guidance, for clarity, for help in understanding where I should be. Well last night as I was sitting in my room reading “true devotion to Mary” in order to get talking points against Catholicism, I noticed a strong smell of incense in my room. I felt this deep warmth in my chest, like something settling over me. And in that moment, it honestly felt like I heard a voice say something along the lines of, “come home.” So today I am announcing my decision to swim the Tiber on the lifeboat that is Mary, and am happy to say that after a long battle I am becoming Roman Catholic. And I know this is going to raise a lot of questions, and I want to be clear about why I’m sharing this.
