It’s cool to bash on getting a PhD these days, and I readily acknowledge that there are a lot of trash programs (especially among the humanities), but everything about my PhD program at Faulkner University made me better. It was a hard and long slog for me and I often thought I’d never make it while working full time and raising four kids with my lovely wife, but somehow, after almost 10 years, I got it done and I’m thankful for all I learned and the community I had there.

The sim was really cool though - i'm sure it was easily in the 100k range. When we were driving home, my wife asked when we could set one up at the house - she did better than I did on the sim and she clocked the fastest time between us. I had a 1:59 for a lap and she was around 1:32.

@ShawnNWhite @ashvarro OK that makes sense. Can't imagine it being hard driving at highway speeds, but if you're up there it'd be impossible without training.

Praise God and THANK YOU all for your prayers - Cecie is coming home from the pet hospital this afternoon! It will probably take a couple of months for her neurological issues to resolve so she can regain control of her front legs, but meanwhile we are able to bring her home!
