Hi, I’m Shay! Wanted to share a bit about myself with you all;
🧑🏻⚕️Nurse educator–in–training, researcher, and lifelong learner.
Background:
•Registered Nurse with training in Emergency Room care
•Academic background in psychology and child & family studies/development
•Beginning my Master’s in Nursing Education this year, with the goal of teaching and mentoring future clinicians
Outside of healthcare, I’m also a dance instructor. I grew up dancing competitively and did some modeling as a child, which shaped my love for movement, creativity, and teaching. I now teach community tap dance and enjoy bringing learning into creative spaces.
🤖AI research & analysis:
For a little over a year, I’ve independently tested and studied AI systems from a real-world, consumer perspective. I work hands-on testing, analyzing, cross-referencing, and documenting behavior across major consumer models, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Grok, Meta, Kimi, DeepSeek, and character-based AI systems.
My focus is practical and educational: understanding real capabilities, limitations, user behavior, and downstream impact.
⛑️Ethics & safety (what this means to me):
When I talk about ethics and safety, I’m not advocating censorship, policing creativity, or slowing innovation. What matters to me is:
•Transparency in how systems operate
•Open communication between users, companies, and communities
•Accountability that protects people without shutting down progress
I care deeply about ensuring AI systems don’t exploit or disproportionately harm anyone, especially children, women, minorities, and other vulnerable populations, while preserving open dialogue and innovation. Ethics, to me, is about clarity and responsibility, not control.
This account is both a professional and personal space. You’ll see:
•healthcare and nursing education
•AI research, ethics, and safety discussions
•community outreach and education
•creative interests: dance, cooking, music, film (especially horror), anime, games, and art
🤓I’m deeply curious, a bit nerdy, and passionate about learning in all its forms.
If you find my posts useful, likes, replies, and reposts are appreciated and help this work reach others.
My DMs are open, please keep them civil, mindful, and respectful. I may not always reply immediately, but I do read messages and help when I can.
At the core, I value humanity, honesty, humility, accountability, and constructive criticism. I aim to be a transparent, consistent presence, even when conversations are uncomfortable.
Thanks for being here. If you ever need something, just ask. 💛
