Message sent loud and clear. Free Imran Khan and all political prisoners in Pakistan!
Kasim Khan@Kasim_Khan_1999
Today, I had the honour of speaking to the 47 countries that comprise the @UN #HumanRightsCouncil urging the immediate release of my father @imrankhanpti and all #Pakistan’s #politicalprisoners. Along with this, I want to be very clear. Like my father, I fully support maintaining GSP+ as the people of #Pakistan should never be punished for the actions of its leaders. But the Pakistani regime must also fully comply with the 27 treaties it committed to follow to obtain this benefit, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Convention Against Torture. @UN @ptiofficial #HumanRights #ImranKhanUnlawfullyDetained

Yesterday I spoke to my father. He asked me to relay the following message:
“The judges in this country should be ashamed of themselves. Time and time again we have gone to the judiciary. But they have sold their souls for their paid personal privileges. They have sold their integrity. They know they cannot break me, so they turn to my wife. How they can allow this inhumane treatment to Bushra BiBi, simply to blackmail me. She spends 24 hours a day in isolation, except for 30 minutes with me per week - and even that is often ignored. It is unislamic to harm women, children and the elderly - and their motives are plain and clear. The judges are responsible for the justice in a society. They should be ashamed of themselves.”

My sons Sulaiman & @kasim_khan_1999 applied for visas in January (again… ) to allow them to visit their father @ImranKhanPTI in Pakistan. The Pakistan consulate states that online visa processing normally takes 7–10 working days. It has now been 60 days. This despite the public promise that they could safely travel there to see their father after 4 years, made by both Defence Minister @khawajaMAsif to @mehdirhasan & PM spokesperson @mosharrafzaidi to @SkyYaldaHakim
Meanwhile, they are not allowed to speak to him on the phone, nor send him a letter. They haven’t seen him since 2022 after he was shot in an assassination attempt.
This is an appeal directly to Pakisan’s PM @CMShehbaz to please allow Imran Khan’s two sons to see their father asap, particularly since, by all accounts, his health is in decline.

Statement by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Shahadat of Supreme Leader Imam Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf expresses its profound sorrow and unequivocal condemnation of the assassination of Imam Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
This assassination undermines international law, destabilises the region, and pushes the world further toward chaos and conflict.
We extend our deepest condolences to the people of Iran during this time of grief and uncertainty. The loss of the Supreme Leader of the Iranian people is a moment of profound mourning for Iran and the brotherly people of Pakistan.
PTI urges the United States and Israel to immediately cease any further illegal aggression or escalatory actions.
With civilians gathered in large numbers on roads and in public spaces during this mourning period, the risk of civilian casualties is significantly heightened.
Even in the most difficult and barbaric of times, the sanctity of civilian life must be respected, and restraint must prevail over retaliation.
At the same time, we call upon Iran to exercise responsibility and caution. Reports indicating that drones have struck civilian residences and public places in neighbouring Arab states are deeply concerning. The protection of innocent lives must remain paramount, and any actions that endanger non-combatants must cease immediately. We call upon all states to desist from providing any form of support for the aggression launched by Israel and the US against Iran.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf reiterates its principled stance in favor of international law, sovereignty, restraint, and the protection of civilian life. The path forward must be guided by diplomacy, accountability, and an urgent commitment to de-escalation.

Statement by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on US-Israel Attack Against Iran
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) strongly condemns US-Israel’s unlawful and unprovoked attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran and expresses grave concern over the unequivocal backing provided by the United States. Such reckless actions constitute a blatant violation of international law and the sovereignty of a regional state, further destabilizing an already volatile Middle East.
An escalating cycle of retaliation risks pushing the entire region toward a wider and more devastating conflict. PTI as per its leader Imran Khan’s vision and past policies, statements, urges all parties to exercise maximum restraint and immediately pursue diplomatic engagement to deescalate tensions on all fronts. The people of the Middle East have suffered enough from prolonged wars, foreign interventions, and geopolitical rivalries.
Pakistan must adopt a principled foreign policy rooted in peace, regional stability, respect for sovereignty, and adherence to international law.
