We don’t have players of that level now and haven’t for years. Kenny was not the problem, and it’s only gotten worse.

They wouldn't even have qualified for the tournament under Kenny.

Turns out that pretending Stephen Kenny is the problem instead of 2 decades of neglect, incompetence and fraud from the FAI, and putting a dentist in the exact same setup isn't a solid strategy for qualifying for a World Cup 🤷🏼‍♀️ Mortified for all the pundits and media. "Optimism"

Kenny was never the issue, years of neglect and under funding of Irish football was the issue then and still is now

The only one of our players that would have gotten into that 2nd string would have been Coleman. That team also got us qualified and out of our group.

That was also the first Euros where a 3rd place team could qualify from the group to knockout stages too. The rose tinted glasses over that tournament are insane
