🌊 Introducing Driftpay — the payment layer where your money earns while it travels. Send $500 SOL to a contractor. Your funds park in the highest-yield DeFi protocol during the window. Contractor gets $500. You keep the yield. No idle capital. Ever. Powered by real-time @birdeye_data API: → /defi/token_security to filter rug risk → /defi/token_trending to rank live yield → OHLCV volatility scoring to weight by TTL The router picks the safest, highest-yield protocol automatically — Raydium, Kamino, or MarginFi — based on how long the payment needs to settle. Building this for @birdeye_data's BIP Sprint 1 🏗️ Code dropping on GitHub: github.com/KevinSheeranxy… here's the demo: drift-pay-blush.vercel.app #BirdeyeAPI #Solana #DeFi #BuildInPublic

Most Solana traders are leaving money on the table because of slow RPC. Here's what the numbers actually look like: Standard RPC: 5–10s transaction landing, 60–90% success rate @getblockio dedicated nodes: 200ms–2s landing, 95%+ success rate That gap? That's where MEV opportunities live and die — most last under 1 second before the market equalizes. GetBlock's LandFirst routes through 3 parallel paths simultaneously: → Own SWQoS connections → bloXroute BDN → Jito Block Engine If you're serious about HFT or MEV on Solana, your infrastructure isn't a detail — it's your edge. Hot take: most Solana node providers are bottlenecking your strategy before you even submit a tx. GetBlock just hit 6ms RPC latency in Frankfurt — verified #1 in Europe by CompareNodes. For context: ⚡ 14–16ms across Amsterdam & London 🌍 <100ms global average across 27 locations 🏆 Top-5 worldwide among Solana providers 🚀 Up to 2× faster than standard Solana RPC in real-world tests And with StreamFirst, you get block visibility 140–150ms earlier than standard Yellowstone gRPC — thanks to accelerated shred propagation from high-stake validators positioned early in Turbine tree. For quant teams and MEV searchers: that's not a marginal gain. That's a structural advantage. 👉 getblock.io/chains/solana | @getblockio #Solana #Blockchain #Web3 #Infrastructure

DeFi Has a Complexity Problem, And Developers Caused It This might be uncomfortable: DeFi is overcomplicated. And it’s on us, the developers. Complexity isn’t the issue. Unnecessary complexity is. The Real Problem We design protocols that are elegant, secure, and mathematically sound… Then users show up, and struggle. Not because they’re careless, but because: Slippage is unclear Impermanent loss is misunderstood Infinite approvals are risky Liquidation mechanics aren’t obvious The code works. The experience doesn’t. Let’s Be Honest “Read the docs” is not a solution. If users need documentation to avoid losing money, that’s a design failure, not a user failure. What I Do Differently Before shipping, I run a simple test: Give the product to someone unfamiliar with crypto. No guidance. Just observe. Where they hesitate or make mistakes = design bugs. The Bigger Picture DeFi doesn’t just have an adoption problem it has a trust and comprehension problem. People won’t trust what they don’t understand. The Shift The next wave of DeFi won’t be won by better contracts alone, but by better experiences. Simple on the surface. Powerful underneath. That’s the standard.

There's something magical about digital products. You build once, and it works forever. Every day... - dozens of founders list their startups for sale - hundreds of messages from buyers are sent - millions of pageviews are stored in my database I can be sleeping or at the gym; the shop is open 24/7.

Leap Wallet | Sunset on 28th May@leap_wallet

Leap Wallet: Sunset Notice After careful consideration, we've made the decision to sunset Leap Wallet and its associated products. The products will be sunset on 28th May, 2026, and all users should complete their migration before then. We started Leap in 2022 to redefine what wallet experiences in crypto mean. Over time, that journey expanded across multiple ecosystems and 100+ chains. Through every phase, the team approached the work with conviction, care, and a deep sense of responsibility to the users and communities we served. This decision was not made lightly. We continue to believe in the long-term future of crypto and the interchain ecosystem, and we remain supporters of the builders still in the arena. What's being sunset The following products will be sunset after 28th May, 2026: • Leap Wallet (Extension, iOS, Android) • Compass Wallet (Extension, iOS, Android) • Leap WebApp • Swapfast • Leap Cosmos Hub Validator • Leap Cosmos Snaps Until that date, all wallet products listed above will retain their existing core functionality. You will still be able to view balances, send tokens, manage staking positions, and export your recovery phrase and private keys. All other products listed above will likewise retain their existing functionality until 28th May, 2026. What users need to do If you are using one of Leap’s wallet products, we recommend migrating your wallets to another wallet like Keplr, MetaMask, Phantom, or Rabby. Because Leap is a non-custodial wallet, your assets live on the blockchain, not in our apps. As long as you have your recovery phrase, you can continue to access your assets through another compatible wallet by importing that recovery phrase. Your addresses and balances will carry over automatically. If you have ATOM delegated to Leap’s Cosmos Hub validator, please redelegate to another validator to continue earning staking rewards. We encourage doing this as early as possible to account for network unbonding periods. Detailed migration guide and FAQs can be found on the website - leapwallet.io What to expect next After 28th May, 2026, all Leap products will be sunset and will no longer function, including applications already installed in your browser or on your mobile device. Even if you do not migrate from Leap to another wallet before that date, you can still recover access to your assets by importing your recovery phrase into another supported wallet Migration support will be available through our official support channels until 28th May, 2026 at support@leapwallet.io Thank You Thank you to all our users, for letting us serve you through so many market cycles. Thank you to our amazing partners, for helping us build experiences & worlds we never thought possible. Thank you for Leaping with us. 🐸 💚

Drift Protocol just released their thread on the $280 million hack It's worse than anyone thought too There was no code exploit. It wasn’t a flash loan. It wasn’t even a traditional key theft. Solana has a feature called "durable nonces" that lets you sign a transaction today but execute it days or weeks later Sound familiar EVM critics? 😏 Think of it like writing a signed check and leaving it in someone's drawer until they decide to cash it. The attacker used this to build a time bomb inside Drift's own governance system. So I was wrong and Solana’s architecture did in fact play a role in this exploit occurring. Similar to how a hacker exploits approvals on EVM chains. Here's how it played out: March 23: The attacker sets up four of these delayed-execution accounts. Two are tied to real Drift Security Council members and two belong to the attacker. At some point, the attacker tricks two of Drift's five council members into signing transactions they didn't fully understand. Blind signing is something I have called out a lot and it is a major issue with many of these chains Drift calls it "transaction misrepresentation” 🤨 But in reality they were socially engineered into signing their own robbery Those signatures sat dormant for nine days! March 27: Drift rotates its security council. New members, fresh setup. Doesn't matter. The attacker compromises two of the five new signers too. April 1: Drift runs a routine test transaction. Sixty seconds later, the attacker cashes those pre-signed checks. Two transactions, four Solana slots apart. Full admin control. Every withdrawal limit removed. Every vault drained. $280 million. Gone. Two out of five signatures is all it took 🤦‍♂️ But also clearly some major planning and patience for this elaborate attack Blind signing Durable nonces which function similarly to approvals Poor key management Insecure infrastructure Everything worked as it was designed to work and this was just an incredibly well orchestrated and thought out attack
Drift@DriftProtocol

Earlier today, a malicious actor gained unauthorized access to Drift Protocol through a novel attack involving durable nonces, resulting in a rapid takeover of Drift’s Security Council administrative powers. This was a highly sophisticated operation that appears to have involved multi-week preparation and staged execution, including the use of durable nonce accounts to pre-sign transactions that delayed execution.

We are observing unusual activity on the protocol. We are currently investigating. Please do not deposit funds into the protocol while we investigate. This is not an April Fools joke. Proceed with caution until further notice. We’ll provide additional updates from this account.

The crypto industry is at an existential crossroads. Bitcoin is 17 years old and proving to be a very liquidity dependent store of value. Ethereum is reducing its own economic viability at the altar of builder maxxing. The communist chain if you will.
