My 1973 Indy 500 : Three deaths…Rain…And peeing In front yards. Me and Mike made the trip from Evansville to Indianapolis with our dates. All four of us wound up peeing several times in front yards in a driving rain . A day I will never forget.

@SteveReedAP Tradition like no other...fly to my birthplace for the Indy 500 every year, afterwards, get back to parents house to watch Charlotte race be rained out. Monday, drive back to Charlotte and listen to to the 600 on the radio or catch the end on TV when I get back.

33 years ago this week, The Wonder Years aired its finale. I wrote 5000+ words about how they don’t make shows like this anymore , how much I enjoyed it, the lessons learned and ranked the 33 best episodes in my opinion. @PaulPabst Nothing compares to the Indy 500, took my oldest last year for her first time in our family seats we've owned for 50 years. We've lived in Charlotte, NASCAR country her entire life, she goes to Kentucky...took her to the homeland. Goosebumps for both of us.

I've been to eight different tracks...but it's been a while.

My daughter, out of nowhere, just said to me... "Dad, do you like NASCAR...have you been to a race? Can you take me sometime? I think it would be so cool to see it in person." A) This is fantastic. B) Did one of you put her up to this? This will be fun...
