Shloime Rand’s friend has shared this picture of him - with his permission - in the aftermath of his attack in Golders Green. He doesn’t want his face to be shown, but his friends want to illustrate how serious his attack was, with breathing apparatus attached to him as he lies in his hospital bed. Thankfully he has now left hospital. We are appalled that such a poster was allowed onto a @TfL train in the first place. It is not just inaccurate, it is a blatant piece of political propaganda dressed up as fact. In such challenging times with security threats, there is no place for this kind of toxic messaging on public transport. Its presence is not an accident, it fuels the climate of hostility and intimidation that Israelis and Jewish communities have been facing in recent months. Action against the perpetrators is needed.
