Federalists keep declaring the Alberta independence movement dead in the water. Yet here we are, still moving toward a referendum. The only way to bring closure to this issue is a democratic vote. Denying Albertans that vote is denying their natural right to self-determination.

This is exactly why I support Alberta independence. The moment Albertans start seriously pushing for independence, suddenly democracy comes with conditions attached. We’re told we can only vote on approved topics. We can only petition when Ottawa approves. We can only exercise democracy when the outcome protects the existing power structure. That doesn’t weaken my resolve. It hardens it. I will not give up. In fact, the court decision against Alberta independence has only convinced me that I need to work harder! Let’s GO!
