This is not being talked about even with an election in a few weeks time we’re being over looked /8 Note - I’m using the term disabled as it’s the term I personally am most comfortable with others use different terms so use what you prefer. No offence intended

How is 59 weeks with no communication at all, ok? We’re just expected to live in the unknown. We are people. Not numbers. Disability benefits have been like this since 2012 and now it’s incomplete crisis. If nothing changes I have 35yrs of this. /7

I’m stunned I had to check up on my PIP renewal (or review as it’s now called) as it’s been 8 months and I’ve not heard anything The review time is running at 59 weeks (13.5 months)! It was said so casually If I hadn’t called I’d have no clue I thought they’d lost my paperwork.

Odd moment while watching the gentleman for a DPhil working on FWW gas “he’s as deadly as mustard gas” earned a few looks when I laughed It isn’t as impactful as the writers think mustard gas is NOT a killer it injures. You have to drink it or get an infection for it to kill you

@ShelleyCastle2 presented her work on the long-term economic effects of WWI gas victims. This is the first study showing that gas victims received very little in pension compensation as their disabilities were often judged to be minor.

Ok so when looking for First World War soldiers blinded by mustard gas where would you go (RNIB and Blind veterans uk are relocating sites so are closed)
