The difference in how our differing cultures and migration history, shapes how we navigate spaces in the UK, and conversations and perspectives had regarding being Black and British. Those differences show up in voting patterns, it shows in academic attainment, it shows in churches.

Jordan and Delroy Lindo were on stage. • Davidson, the inspiration for BAFTA-nominated “I Swear,” was diagnosed with Tourette’s at 25. Raising awareness for Tourettes is important, but should not come at the expense of the dignity of others, ESPECIALLY in the time we’re living in now.
Alan Cummings asked for “understanding” but still the BAFTAs should issue an apology to Michael and Delroy. I also hope John writes a statement that both brings awareness but also an apology. If the latter is missing well….that’ll be very telling. I don’t think he should apologise for having a neurological condition but he should apologise for the offence caused in that moment
