@Bucky_cm Pokemon XD has some classics. It's one of the few games where the map theme is something you want to listen to, outside of Mass Effect. Bosses have both approach themes and battle themes. Oh, but if you want REALLY obscure? Watch the GameDungeon episode on Rama.

@GlitchedDrops Granted, from what I've heard, routes were never supposed to be a thing originally. Gen 1's original idea would've had it be open world. The problem was the Game Boy's limited hardware. Routes had to be made as a compromise. Tradition kept them in until the Switch games.

@Stella_Hoshii Of all things? This makes me think of how technically, the first device to ever turn steam into power was actually invented by Hero of Alexandria, during Roman times. It was mostly used as a toy, though with a few practical uses, but not many as the Romans didn't know what to do.

@AskellCK @AccessTheAnimus But like, IE? The first island you go to after getting the Jackdaw, I get the idea of no parking spot, because it's uninhabited and all that. Meanwhile, there's some islands with little towns on them, at least one you'll visit as part of the story, with no such spot.
