Just over a month ago, Arvind Kejriwal was acquitted. Mainstream media quickly built a narrative around him - projecting him as a victim of institutional witch-hunt. Now, a Panchkula Special Court has acquitted Shri Bhupinder Hooda in the AJL land re-allotment/money laundering case. But the same media is frozen in silence. Kejriwal’s acquittal serves the BJP’s purpose, and so does turning him into a martyr. But extending the same treatment to Hooda ji and the late Motilal Vora ji and admit that they were falsely implicated, does not suit them. Hence, the silence.
