We recently discovered a long forgotten chutney recipe, handwritten on a scrap of card, by a Mrs. Miles in June 1889. It's been recreated exclusively for us and is now available in our shop, a delicious taste of the past! #Foodie #recipes #VisitDorset

For those who missed the event, copies of 'Historical Pageants: A Documentary Film' and 'Mother of All Pageants: The Great Sherborne Pageant of 1905' are now available on DVD from the museum shop (£10). Plus, keep an eye out for the temporary exhibition in our display window!

An enthusiastic audience of 150 people joined us at the Digby Hall to watch the screening of a new documentary film charting the historical pageants movement in Britain, of which the Sherborne Pageant of 1905 was the instigator.

Huge thanks to all those who supported our fundraising event last night, held in collaboration with @Pageantry_AHRC. Donations amounted to a spectacular £685, which helps to ensure that the Sherborne Museum can continue its important work within the community.
