STAR OF THE MONTH ⭐⭐ #sfsheriffThe Public Information Officer (#PIO) plays an important role in keeping the community informed—handling media inquiries, sharing updates, and making sure the right information gets out. Larry Olson brings great energy and professionalism to the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office. He’s someone people enjoy working with and is truly beloved throughout our office. For that, he is our March #starofthemonth. #publicsafety #lawenforcement #leadership #sanfrancisco #recognition

IN HER OWN WORDS: Peyton, an out-of-state college student, who ended up in our jail this year, sent us this recording of an excerpt from a heartfelt email she wrote for our deputized staff. Thank you, Peyton, for being so honest and for taking the time to let our deputies know how much they meant to you. “You probably see people on the worst days of their lives all the time, and I imagine it can be easy to feel like your work goes unnoticed. I just want you to know that it didn’t go unnoticed with me. Your kindness mattered more than you probably realize, and it helped me get through a moment when I felt really small and afraid.” –Peyton, Incarcerated at County Jail #2, 2026 Kudos to our outstanding deputies who helped Peyton: Deputy Alvarez Deputy Thompson Deputy Gaspar Deputy Fox Deputy Lopez Deputy Jones To read Peyton’s full email, please see previous post. #vulnerable #scared #humanizethebadge #leadership #humanity #lawenforcement #thankyou
