@PinguStacks Exactly, made my own Fund. Change in and out of stocks I like or changed my mind. Learn.
English

@SherlockInvests Oh this is so interesting... I have 90 and am always being told it's mad, I joke I'm basically my own fund manager 😂
English

@MyLegoBookFund Id start with the bank side
English

@philask I am going to add this to my watchlist as I learn a little more
English

@SherlockInvests I did this when UK resident as I couldn’t hold the ETF I wanted. I copied the top 25 of $SCHG holdings, it did very well.
English

@Investinc_Intel To pay off my mortgage if I dont / cant work
English

@SherlockInvests What’s your goal with dividends? Fund your lifestyle?
English

@DrunkDividends True, but still allows the fun of selecting your own stocks
English

@SherlockInvests Diversity limits downside for sure! But i guess also upside
English

@XCompoundQuiet Its not as challenging, obviously cant have a magnifying glass on every company but with a long term strategy its less necessary
English

@SherlockInvests Seems like alot to keep track of..?
English

@FantasyInvRealm Wow and I thought I was on the higher end
English

@SherlockInvests Over 100. I fear I would lose interest with fewer than that.
English

@SmartMoneyLeon $MCD as well for £1.22. But you are right, it wont be in a decade
English

@unusual_whales The older I get, the less I’m surprised by politics.
Not because politicians change their positions.
But because the public can be persuaded that the new position was perfectly reasonable all along.
Elementary, perhaps.
English

@xgrowthpascal I’ve reached an unfortunate conclusion.
The algorithm appears less interested in whether a tweet is brilliant…
…and more interested in whether people start talking about it immediately.
A most curious case.
English

The older I get, the more I appreciate the simplicity of $VOO.
No chasing hype.
No checking earnings every quarter.
No wondering if the CEO will blow up the stock.
Just buying America's biggest companies and letting time do the heavy lifting.
Part of me thinks the smartest move is putting my portfolio into $VOO and focusing on everything else in life.
Am I missing something? 📈

@BRICSinfo When did historic become a by word for already happening

@Dividend_Miner Deserves a follow old boy
English

4 years on X.
Came here for market talk… stayed for the people, the laughs, the grind, the wins, the losses, and the daily push to keep building.
From mining coal to mining opportunity, this place has become part of the journey.
Appreciate everyone who’s been riding with me. ⛏️💰

@alecscrypto1 @FlippieFinance What am I missing?
English

@FlippieFinance Theres literally no reason why you shouldn't buy it and many reasons why you should. This will take off
English

@QuietWealth_UK Took me too long to start

£338,000,000,000.
Sitting in UK savings accounts earning less than 1.5%.
While official CPI inflation sits at 2.8%, and the Bank of England expects it to climb higher through the rest of 2026.
The gap on a basic £10,000 pot:
— High-street account: £100/year
— Top easy-access account: £450/year
— Inflation eating: £280/year
Earning 1%? You're losing £180 in real terms, every single year.
Most of that £338 billion isn't there by choice.
It's there because the teaser rate expired, the bank quietly dropped the rate to 1%, and nobody noticed.
Top easy-access accounts:
- 4.25% Cash ISAs: 4.5%
- Regular savers offers: 7%
I moved mine in ten minutes this spring. The bank didn't send a leaving card.

📊 Day 52 | Road to £100K
Portfolio: £24,075.56
Today’s P&L: -£31.00 (-0.1%)
Red day. Nothing dramatic, just the market doing its thing while I was drowning in work emails and wishing I was still sitting on a beach in Greece eating gyros 🇬🇷
Some days the portfolio looks after itself. Today it didn’t and neither did my inbox.
Still in it. Still buying. Still not selling.
£24,075 of £100,000 🎯

I asked dearest Claude what stock to pick for 2026:
Here is what I received
Buy Alphabet $GOOGL. It’s the strongest single stock pick for 2026 — AI growth, solid fundamentals, reasonable valuation, and even Buffett just bought in. No guarantees, but it’s the best bet among current analyst picks.
