บ้าน, ที่อยู่อาศัย ต่างชาติชอบไปซื้อเก็บไว้ที่ไทยด้วยจริงๆ ครับ เป็นเรื่องของความคุ้มค่า เพราะบ้านที่ไทยยังถูกมาก เพื่อนผมคนฮ่องกงที่มาจากตระกูลรวยๆ ในฮ่องกง.. บ้านเค้ามาซื้ออสังหาแบบ high-end สำหรับอยู่เองเวลามาเที่ยวมาทำธุระ รู้สึกซื้อไปเกือบๆพันล้านบาทอยู่.. คนจีน, อินโด, ฮ่องกง ที่ผมรู้จักอีกหลายคนก็มาซื้อกันไปแบบึนละหลักหลายสิบล้าน บางคนก็แตะร้อยล้านอยู่… (แต่ก็พูดแนวๆ เดียวกันว่าถ้ารถติดน้อยกว่านี้, น้ำไม่ท่วม, อากาศดีกว่านี้ จะมาอยู่บ่อยกว่าเดิม และอาจจะซื้อเพิ่มด้วย) แต่ internet ที่อเมริกาเอาจริงๆ พวกแบบความเร็ว 1Gbps (ประมาณ $80/month) ครอบคลุมถึง 90% ครัวเรือน, ที่เหลือที่เข้าไม่ถึงก็จะเป็นแบบ cable ซึ่งความเร็วหลักประมาณ 50Mbps~500Mbps แต่พฤติกรรมการเลือกซื้อ package internet ของคนในอเมริกาหลายๆ ครอบครัวคือไม่รู้เรื่องไม่ update ข้อมูล เห็นอันไหนถูกสุดก็เอาอันนั้นไปก่อน เลยทำให้พวก internet ที่เร็วๆ คนไม่ค่อยสมัครไม่ค่อยสนใจใช้กัน ทั้งๆ ที่สามารถใช้ได้ (อย่างแม่ผมคือแบบ.. ใช้อยู่ 50Mbps เค้าก็จะแบบ ก็ยังใช้ดู YouTube, ดูหนังได้อยู่ จะจ่ายเงินเพิ่มทำไม 😅) บางทีคนพวกนี้ใช้ internet กับบริษัทเดิมมาหลายปีก็ไม่รู้เรื่องว่าบริษัทมีการ upgrade services แล้ว บางทีราคาถูกกว่าเดิม แต่เร็วกว่าเดิมหลายเท่าตัว เพียงแต่ต้องติดต่อไปที่บริษัท ให้ทำการเปลี่ยน plan ให้, หรือต้องให้บริษัทส่ง modem แบบใหม่มาให้… พวกนี้หลายคนไม่รู้เรื่อง จริงๆ เรื่องหาหมอก็ด้วยครับ ในอเมริกาจริงๆ มีอีกระบบที่เรียกว่า concierge medicine จ่ายเงินเพิ่มจากปกติปีละ $2,000 ~ $4,000 ต่อปี (ถ้าพวกแบบต้องใช้หมอเฉพาะทางก็จะแพงกว่านี้) แต่ก็สามารถนัดหมอเจอหมอได้ในวันเดียวเลย, หาหมอได้ 24/7 ปกติไปตามนัดก็คือไม่ต้องรอ ตรงตามเวลา.. แต่แน่นอนว่าพวกที่ไม่ใช่รายได้สูง ไม่ได้ทำงาน professionals ก็มักจะสู้ราคาพวกนี้ไม่ไหว และหลายคนรวยพอ แต่กลับไม่เคยรู้ว่ามีบริการแบบนี้ก็มีอยู่ครับ แต่เรื่องคนไทยที่มาทำงานในอเมริกา (แบบพวก robinhood) จริงๆ พวกทำ 2-3 งาน ก็มักจะชั่วโมงทำงานประมาณพวกทำงาน full-time หรือ OT นิดหน่อย จริงๆ พวกนี้หลายคนเอาจริงๆ สามารถมีรายได้สูงหลัก $100K+ ขึ้นไปต่อปีได้นะครับ แต่ที่ผมเคยเห็นหลายคนมีปัญหาจากตัวเอง คือ… - กลัวการเปลี่ยนแปลง - ไม่ยอมฝึกพัฒนาภาษาให้ดีขึ้น เอาแค่งานร้านอาหารก็พอครับ บางคนโดนเจ้านายกดขี่ค่าแรงโดนโกงค่าแรง แต่ไม่กล้าออกมาสู้ ไม่กล้าออกไปทำที่อื่นๆ ทั้งๆ ที่มันสามารถทำได้แม้จะอยู่ผิดกฎหมาย… บางคนทำงานครัวได้ค่าแรง $150 ต่อวัน (ประมาณ 15 ปีที่แล้ว) ผมเคยเสนอให้ไปทำงานร้านเพื่อนผมแทน ให้ $250 ต่อวัน เค้าก็ไม่เอา.. กลัวการเปลี่ยนแปลง ติดเพื่อนร่วมงาน ฯลฯ สิบกว่าปีที่แล้ว คนล้างจานบางคนทำงานได้วันละร้อยกว่าเหรียญ เสนอให้เปลี่ยนไปทำงานตำแหน่งที่ได้ tips เช่น busboy ซึ่งรายได้จะ $250~$300 ต่อวัน ก็ไม่ยอมไปทำ เพราะไม่เคยทำมาก่อน 🤷🏻‍♂️ สายงานร้านอาหาร พวกร้านที่รายได้ดีๆ วันละ $400~$600 คนไทยก็ยังมีหลายคนที่ไม่ยอมขยับขยายพยายามเข้าไปทำงานร้านพวกนี้กัน… คนมาผิดกฎหมาย ยังพอมีทางได้ใบเขียว แต่ก็ไม่พยายามขวนขวายกัน (ถ้าเดี๋ยวใครจะมาถามเรื่องนี้ ขอไม่อธิบายขยายความ เพราะบางวิธีผิดกฎหมาย) บางทีหาทางได้ใบเขียวมาจนได้ แต่ก็ไม่ยอมหาทางไปทำงานที่รายได้สูง กลับทำงานแบบเดิมต่อไป.. ฯลฯ มีอีกหลายตัวอย่างมากครับ ไม่ใช่แค่คนไทยนะ แต่คนอเมริกันบางคนก็อารมณ์ประมาณนี้ ทั้งๆ ที่หนทางได้รายได้ $100K+ ต่อปีมันมีอยู่ถึงแม้ไม่ได้เรียนจบปริญญาก็ทำได้ แต่ไม่ดิ้นรนเอง
