@Genki_JPN Metroid 4 was an average game. Decent opening but mediocre at best there on in. Tears of the kingdom had a save point of no return on final boss fight. Which prevented me from completing it due to no sunblight flowers in inventory.

Former Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime says Nintendo do not discount their games because they believe in the craftsmanship and quality of their games! “This concept of shipping out a game, whether physically or digitally, and then day one there being a massive update to make it feature-complete… while Nintendo does that occasionally, philosophically, the company hates doing it… the Nintendo mentality is, we’re shipping a game complete. It’s ready to play. There’s no day one update that’s gonna take three hours. It’s a different mentality, right? That is their thinking. I’d liken this to this idea of Kyoto craftmanship. The company is headquartered in Kyoto… a city known for its fine craftsmanship… I’m convinced that Nintendo as a company has that same type of mentality. We are going to build the best games. We are going to send them out feature complete. And as a result, this is sometimes where customers push back, we don’t discount our games. We don’t discount our games. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild never received a price discount from the day it was launched. Never was discounted. Occasionally retailers might decide to do something, but the company never discounted. And it’s part of this process – we’re gonna make it the best we can, we’re gonna send it feature complete, and we’re gonna charge a fair price and that price is never gonna change.” nintendoeverything.com/why-nintendo-g…

@RottenTomatoes The last jedi was not only the worst star wars film ever made but could possibly go down as the worst film ever made. Was even worse than robocop remake.......they should have all gone to prison, the lot of them!!

Naoki Hamagichi says FF7 Remake part 3 is proceeding on time and on schedule! Says they aim to expand the scale of the gameplay experience with each new entry! “Across the entire remake project, the guiding philosophy has been to progressively expand the scale of the gameplay experience with each entry, rather than repeat the same experience. Final Fantasy VII Remake established an experience centered on engaging deeply with story and characters, while Rebirth moved toward an even more expansive experience that includes the world map. This series isn’t about rehashing the same gameplay just because it’s a remake. I consider this project where we’ve pushed ourselves to ask, “How much further can we expand the experience?” with each new entry. For the third installment, we’re not thinking about simply wrapping up everything we’ve built until this point. Rather, we’re focused on how the full scale of the series we’ve been aiming for could ultimately be realized as a complete experience. That way of thinking is deeply reflected in our current development process. I think you could also look forward to the Highwind, which I know many people are curious about [Laughter]. I’m unable to share concrete details at this time. What I can say is that development itself is proceeding on time and on schedule. We believe it’ll become a title we can deliver with confidence as the culmination of the trilogy. We know many fans are eagerly waiting, and preparations toward the announcement are steadily underway. Please look forward to it just a little longer.” gonintendo.com/contents/60334…

PlayStation support has confirmed that a new digital rights management policy for the console is intentional, not a glitch. Starting with any digital games purchased after the March 2026 system update, your PS5 will require an internet connection at least once every 30 days to validate the license. If the console stays offline longer than that, the games simply will not launch until you reconnect. This change does not affect any titles already in your library. Setting a console as your primary system also will not bypass the monthly check-in.

@Pirat_Nation For the love of God buy physical. How many times do you have to be told. When they try to push all digital consoles, dont buy them really really simple. PC gamers own literally NOTHING!!! Just license keys that can be turned off whenever they deem fit. Buy physical

NINTENDO is reportedly circulating false information internally as a deliberate strategy to identify leakers. These may affect some news we heard this past days, including: • Luigi’s Mansion movie and new game • New classic-style Star Fox game on Switch 2 • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake • Next 3D Mario delayed until 2027 Source: @NintyPrime

No Man's Sky Remnant now has Corvettes on Switch! It was a difficult technical challenge to optimise the engine enough so that these could fit in memory and render at a decent frame rate. Apologies it took so long - we got there in the end! Super proud to have helped with this :)

Shigeru Miyamoto shared the original synopsis and inspiration behind The Legend of Zelda in a 1994 interview! “An everyday boy gets drawn into a series of incredible events and grows to become a hero.” “I wanted to create a game where the player could experience the feeling of exploration as he travels about the world, becoming familiar with the history of the land and the natural world he inhabits. That is reflected in the title: ‘The Legend of Zelda’.” videogameschronicle.com/features/zelda…

Read a first note from @asha_shar the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming: Dear team,    Today I begin my role as CEO of Microsoft Gaming.   I feel two things at once: humility and urgency.  Humility because this team has built something extraordinary over decades. Urgency because gaming is in a period of rapid change, and we need to move with clarity and conviction.   I am stepping into work shaped by generations of artists, engineers, designers, writers, musicians, operators and more who create worlds that have brought joy and deep personal meaning to hundreds of millions of players. The level of craft here is exceptional, and it is amplified by Xbox, which was founded in the belief that the power of games connect people and push the industry forward.    Thank you to Phil for his leadership, and to every studio, platform, and operations team that built this foundation. We are stewards of some of the most loved stories and characters in entertainment and bring players and creators together around the fun and community of gaming in entirely new ways.   My first job is simple: understand what makes this work and protect it.  That starts with three commitments.  First, great games.      Everything begins here. We must have great games beloved by players before we do anything.  Unforgettable characters, stories that make us feel, innovative game play, and creative excellence. We will empower our studios, invest in iconic franchises, and back bold new ideas. We will take risks. We will enter new categories and markets where we can add real value, grounded in what players care about most.  I promoted Matt Booty in honor of this commitment. He understands the craft and the challenges of building great games, has led teams that deliver award-winning work, and has earned the trust of game developers across the industry.  Second, the return of Xbox.     We will recommit to our core Xbox fans and players, those who have invested with us for the past 25 years, and to the developers who build the expansive universes and experiences that are embraced by players across the world.  We will celebrate our roots with a renewed commitment to Xbox starting with console which has shaped who we are. It connects us to the players and fans who invest in Xbox, and to the developers who build ambitious experiences for it.   Gaming now lives across devices, not within the limits of any single piece of hardware. As we expand across PC, mobile, and cloud, Xbox should feel seamless, instant, and worthy of the communities we serve. We will break down barriers so developers can build once and reach players everywhere without compromise.  Third, future of play.  We are witnessing the reinvention of play.  To meet the moment, we will invent new business models and new ways to play by leaning into what we already have: iconic teams, characters, and worlds that people love. But we will not treat those worlds as static IP to milk and monetize. We will build a shared platform and tools that empower developers and players to create and share their own stories.   As monetization and AI evolve and influence this future, we will not chase short-term efficiency or flood our ecosystem with soulless AI slop. Games are and always will be art, crafted by humans, and created with the most innovative technology provided by us.  The next 25 years belong to the teams who dare to build something surprising, something no one else is willing to try, and have the patience to see it through. We have done this before, and I am here to help us do it again. I want to return to the renegade spirit that built Xbox in the first place. It will require us to relentlessly question everything, revisit processes, protect what works, and be brave enough to change what does not.  Thank you for welcoming me into this journey.  Asha
