Nine people who occupied MBR Acres dog breeding facility found guilty of Aggravated Trespass Is this the world we want to create? Where protecting innocent dogs is deemed a crime? On the 19th of June 2022, Animal Rising supporters (then as Animal Freedom Movement) occupied MBR Acres capturing footage of the horrific conditions that thousands of dogs were kept in. MBR is still trying to convince us that as a society, we need to use animals for testing, despite evidence showing it to be both inefficient and cruel. During a 2-day trial that ended today, nine people were found guilty of aggravated trespass and have received conditional discharges or fines. These brave Animal Rising supporters have now been penalised for simply shining a light on the conditions that these beautiful animals are kept in. How can we trust a system that disregards concerns about the conditions at MBR, which were deemed by the judge as “not relevant”? Why as a society do we allow others to neglect and harm animals? Is this how we want the world to be? A world where those who stand up for others are punished? Where protecting an innocent creature is seen as a crime? We see a better world and a safer home FOR ALL LIFE. It’s possible for us to thrive together, as humans living in harmony with nature and animals.
