@RBD_DEFENSE If you’re talking about the specific design they used then it comes down to what they want the UAV to be capable of. Variations like the V shaped one the TB2 uses are good for different things.

@RBD_DEFENSE smaller UAVs. It’s pretty obvious why it would be used. If you were designing a large scale aircraft then sure, you could go for other designs. But with these UAVs it’s the only sensible option.

This PFX UAV has a very intriguing design with the Twin Boom, but I don't see the point of making such UAV's VTOL by slapping fans on the wings, when being catapult launched is clearly better.
