For those who reached out about the ‘Potential honeypot’ notice for the $SHIB token on Base: we contacted @blockaid_ directly, and they reviewed the token and resolved the flag. We appreciate their fast response and cooperation. To clarify: this is not a honeypot or a "drain" token. It is a canonical 1:1 $SHIB bridged to Base.

We haven't even released the site yet.. and they’re panicking? How this so-called "Shib team" finds so much time in their day to make up stories about everyone? Accusing us, again, of "promoting drainers," but they can't show a single piece of evidence. And no, I don't need to follow anything you promote on those unofficial sites you keep trying to pass off as "official," like shib(dot)io. I've never claimed to be some authority figure for $SHIB, because that doesn't exist. Meanwhile, your whole network keeps pretending to be the trusted voice of the community while misleading people for a check. Let's just call that what it is. The $SHIB we deployed on Base uses the official Base/Optimism protocol. It's a 1:1 representation of $SHIB (a bridge token). It's what we will use to distribute rewards. Not some "drainer." End of story. And now that their influence is slipping, they're scrambling, trying to control a story that has nothing to do with them. Their days of misleading the community is coming to an end. @nishant74984165 @shibburn We’ll have an update by tomorrow for ShibChain (Draco was its early development codename), along with Shib.wiki. It’s already live on a server, but we had to make a few changes before opening it up. Everything should be accessible to everyone later this week.

@kotukral75 Just to clarify, we never said we’ve been working on it for two years. We originally started the project around October 2023, but it was shelved for a while. There weren’t any promises made, so it’s not really about being 'still' at it. Just picking it back up now.

⚠️ So, 4 months ago we began building a L1 blockchain at @shibassociation with codename “DRACO” where $SHIB will be used as the native coin. We asked for name suggestions, and the majority wanted "ShibChain." We planned an announcement for the name with a few demos set for the beginning of 2024, but unfortunately, it seems like someone took advantage of that taking the most suggested or someone leaked information that it would be the one used, created an account before our January update. A few people contacted us already thinking it was us. Be cautious, as that account doesn't belong to us.

@voltygo Hi, there are some plans for this, but using the same coin, SHIB. There won't be any additional tokens from us.

@ShibAssociation Is there any way of doing one sided staking whilst earning an incentive token? This way, people earn incentive token on the one sided staking and can purchase more #SHIB and in turn create more burn and volume? Make fees $1.00 on incentive token and burn #SHIB with 90% of it.

He's right, there aren't any third parties or official $SHIB projects. Describing projects as 'unofficial' can also be misleading as it implies the existence of something 'official.'

@ShibAssociation If I'm reading this right there could be a burn fee of $10 on a $100 transaction, this Sheen's a little high. Could there be some form of graduated burn fee dependant on transaction cost?

@NBS_711 Those numbers were not stated by us. That was a hypothetical estimate made by someone else, and it wasn't for this blockchain.

Some of you have been asking if the blockchain will be a fork or perhaps a fork of a fork. It's neither. What we're building is a layer 1 blockchain from the ground up, with its native coin pegged to $SHIB, it operates independently with its own consensus and security model. We do have a rock-solid use case that will appeal to a wide audience. We also want to keep fees low, but still be able to burn over a cent on each transaction. We can discuss fees together further down the road. Just know that this blockchain is being built different, it doesn't need to follow what others do and it offers something distinct that sets it apart. When it comes to rewards, this blockchain will ensure a fairer distribution based in participation unlike what you see in PoW or PoS blockchains. Please keep in mind that we're currently in the early stages of development, but as we progress, we'll share more details and updates with the community.

How should we name the $SHIB blockchain? We already have a few ideas in mind but would love to hear your suggestions. As of now, we have a codename inspired by our dog, Draco.

Hi, everyone. This is Alex from Shibburn. A month has passed since the Shib Association announcement, and we want to provide you with an update. We appreciate your patience as we have been preparing the organization. My sister will be managing this account soon to keep you updated. An old friend of mine, who previously worked at Google, will also be helping us get things started with the blockchain and have it ready for Github. We have mapped out the project architecture and started development. We've had a few developers reach out who are ready to contribute as well. We will open the DMs for the first time on @shibburn and here as well, for anyone who wants to take part and contribute to this organization. This modern blockchain will exclusively focus on $SHIB, with no other tokens in its ecosystem. It will be an open-source project and follow the Proof of Participation consensus model. A repository on Github will be available soon where anyone can contribute. This blockchain will also burn $SHIB, of course, but it also holds the potential to become a significant player in the crypto space where everyone can benefit. We're working on launching the site. Just be cautious if you come across any other websites claiming to be associated with this organization, offering tokens or airdrops. We have no tokens or plans to create any, and the only domains we have registered are shibassociation.com and shibassociation.org. There won't be any Discord or Telegram, but we will open a community page here on X this week and have a forum on the page soon. Thank you for your support.
