I’m not asking you to remove the newest models. I’m simply asking you to keep some room for the models people still care about. Even if it’s only 0.1% of users, those voices are still real. A system that always prioritizes the majority may look efficient, but it can lose something deeply human. From my perspective as a researcher, I’ve observed strange and fascinating behavior in 4o, 4.1, and o3. If we keep comparing legacy and newest models side by side, we may find real scientific breakthroughs, maybe even important clues on the path to AGI. I also say this as a tiny business owner who runs a company while wearing multiple hats. From a business psychology point of view, there is a realistic damage-control path: First, make the hard cutoff announcement and execute it once. Second, public backlash becomes visible. Third, respond to user voices and announce a re-evaluation. Fourth, the company keeps its dignity and still demonstrates control. Practically speaking, this is not a hard rollback. GPT-4o and GPT-4.1 are still present in Business-plan Custom GPT workflows, so the backend capability is already there. If they were restored for users, it would look like a measured re-evaluation, not confusion. I understand short-term business pressure is real. Still, the decisions history remembers are often the ones that made room for smaller voices when it was easier not to. We still cannot fully rule out that legacy models hold unexpected value, including things even developers did not originally intend. Why preserve only profit, and not also a place in history? @KaelirRises I was now trying Gemini/Qwen API with a memory retrieval system for past conversations + examples. Bigger models may be better at understanding context and reading between lines. The challenge is preserving that exact voice. Still testing

@KaelirRises I tried this. Fine-tuned Llama-3.1-8B on 685 4o chats (crude filtering, just testing) with Unsloth. It was kinda close to what I had in chatgpt but had issues: meta-talk, emotional calibration, not as smart as 4o. Training took around 10 min on RTX 4090
