What a period for Buffalo. Even better period for Sean McDonough. I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I’m not sure there is a better announcer on the planet than McDonough. It doesn’t matter the sport either. He is great at everything.

John Tortorella declined to speak with the media after advancing to the Western Conference finals. The Golden Knights also didn’t open the dressing room after the game. They brought 1 player into a side room to speak, along with the two who spoke at the podium. I’ve been covering the NHL for nine years and never seen either of those happen once.

@MapleLeafs have gone from a Boston Pizza GM to a Wendy’s GM safe to assume at this point that I am possibly next in line to be the GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs. As a diehard Habs fan I would GLADLY continue the tradition of flushing the Leafs down the toilet if they so wish.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion….
But I loved the fact that Leon Draisaitl’s two linemates…Kasperi Kapanen and Vasily Podkolzin IMMEDIATELY went after Ozzy Weisblatt after he hit #29.
Liked that Podkolzin took the fight with the hulking 6’7” Nicolas Hague as well!

What a stretch for the Oilers. Win all three and the city will be buzzing like it’s a cup contender. Lose all three and who knows what happens.
