🚨: “When I see and consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have established, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You care for him?” Psalms 8:3-4 AMP 📸: The dark side of the moon as seen by the Artemis Crew.

People keep saying we should have never given up physical media. Well physical media and places to buy them still exist. Instead of giving up and succumbing to streaming. Go out and find them. Buy physical again. These places may be few, but you have the power to help them grow.

The astronauts. Their ride around the Moon. The Artemis II astronauts pose for a group photo after viewing their Orion spacecraft — which they named Integrity — in the well deck of USS John P. Murtha following their splashdown.

Religion did not make people stupid. Stupidity made people stupid. Victor Glover is the pilot of Artemis II. One of four human beings who just flew 452,000 kilometres behind the Moon and came back safely. To do that job you have to understand orbital mechanics, physics, mathematics, and engineering at a level most people cannot begin to access. He is not a man who stopped thinking. And from behind the Moon, with Earth disappearing from view and radio communication about to cut out completely, here is what he chose to say. A man at the furthest point any human being has ever been from home, quoting Christ on love. Faith and intelligence have never been the opposites we pretend they are. Some of the greatest scientists, mathematicians, and engineers in human history were deeply religious. Bonhoeffer, who gave us the most precise definition of stupidity we have, was a theologian who died for his beliefs. The question is not whether religion makes people stupid. The question is what you do with your mind, whether you surrender it or sharpen it. Victor Glover sharpened his all the way to the Moon. And he brought his faith with him. Both made it back.

Serious question: Did religion make people stupid, or does it work because people are stupid?

Our crew on the @Space_Station caught a glimpse of the @NASAArtemis II crew as they re-entered the atmosphere from their journey to the Moon! We first saw a bright light and a trail as the service module burned up. We didn’t see the Orion capsule itself as it re-entered, but we saw the wispy trail it left behind in the upper atmosphere. Overjoyed that our friends are safely back on Earth after their awe-inspiring mission!

Dem Congresswoman: "With Dr. Koch becoming the first woman, and Captain Glover the first person of color to travel this far into space, what message do all of you have for the next generation of explorers who may be seeing themselves in this mission for the first time?" Koch: "For us, we don't necessarily see any one individual as deserving of anything, or accolades, for being a first. [...] We're in a time where everyone who has a dream has to work equally, and gets to work equally hard, to achieve that dream. [...] You don't have to focus just on being there, focus on excellence. Focus on being the best that you can be in any team."

The fact NASA can get the Artemis II splashdown down to the minute from the moon and back is just incredible.
