Subedar Major Honorary Captain Achhar Singh, a decorated veteran from Himachal Pradesh, donated his body for medical research after his passing. Born in 1923, he dedicated his early life to military service and later continued his commitment to society in his own way. In 2007, he made a clear pledge to donate his body to a medical college in Himachal Pradesh so that learning could continue beyond his lifetime. When he passed away at 102, his family honored that wish.
