One thing I never lacked in my then marriage was money, my husband gives me everything I want, goes shopping for me, buy luxurious things but never give me money, I always ask him when he spends more than 12 million to buy me things that he should just give me the money so I can be independent, but I realized he just want me to solely depended on him” — Lady

Men go through:
1. Testosterone fluctuations (daily & lifelong)
Every morning, testosterone peaks. That's why men wake up "ready." It drops through the day. And from age 30+, it declines steadily every year. Low energy, low drive, mood shifts. This is silent but real.
2. Andropause ("Male Menopause")
Yes, it's real. Around 40-55, men experience dropping testosterone, fatigue, irritability, brain fog, reduced libido, even hot flashes. It's just slower and quieter than menopause. So men don't talk about it.
3. Couvade Syndrome
Expectant fathers can experience pregnancy symptoms: nausea, weight gain, mood swings, even slight belly growth while their partner is pregnant. The body literally responds to emotional bonding.
4. Mood cycles
Research suggests men have hormonal mood shifts roughly every 15-20 days. Not as dramatic as women but present.
5. Physical aging hits different
Hair loss, muscle loss, prostate issues, erectile changes. All hormonal. All humbling.
The real difference is that:
Women's changes are loud, visible, and communal.
Men's changes are quiet, invisible, and suffered alone because nobody told men to talk about it.
Women endure more. Men just pretend they don't endure anything.

English

@ShimmerSheeny @mrs_Ekene @yabaleftonline Weddings should ONLY be expensive for bride & groom not guests
If you sell wedding clothes to your groomsmen or bridesmaids at high cost
YOU ARE AN EVIL PERSON
It's YOUR wedding not OUR wedding

I gave birth a week ago and I’m already mentally exhausted 😭.
My mother-in-law has been with me since I was 8 months pregnant. She’s been calm, helpful, and supportive with no issues at all.
But my own mother is a different story. She keeps insisting on coming to stay with us, even though I told her she can visit but not stay long. She didn’t take it well.
For context, she already stayed with me from my second month until my seventh month of pregnancy, and it was stressful. There were always complaints, tension, and constant demands for money. My husband is a calm and quiet man, and my mom takes advantage of that. She pressures him for money, creates urgent needs, and even expects a weekly allowance for “taking care of me.” Meanwhile, my husband’s business is struggling.
My mother-in-law gets a respectful allowance and is grateful. My own mom collects much more and still complains.
Last week she showed up uninvited. Now she’s saying my husband should ask his own mother to leave so she can “take over.” That alone broke me. I even overheard her telling him directly. And now my husband is considering it. That scares me the most.
I feel like my mom is slowly trying to control my home, and my husband won’t say no. I’ve talked and pleaded, but he keeps avoiding confrontation.
I just had a baby. I need peace, not tension. At this point I’m scared. If this continues, it might destroy my marriage.
Please, how do I handle this? Do I confront my mom strongly? Do I push my husband to take a stand? Or is there a better way to protect my home without causing more drama? 😭💔

English

@Tunde263968472 @ummuh_Zahra The man knows what he is avoiding, and it's always the quiet ones. 🥹
English

@ummuh_Zahra She is your mom, confront her, even if she is offend, it will be settled by the elders in your family but if your husband confront her, trust me, she will old that grudge for a very long time and she will manipulate the elders at your end against him
