@ardan_blade @Drakon_Fire286 And yes, I play Ghost Bear (Classic BT). My current force used in campaigns is a Star each of Executioners and Fire Moths (with full elemental load out of course). Puts a smile on my face when the other side sees my Moths...

Fair enough. I will note that it is interesting that while the Raselhague Republic is no more they made out VERY well with the hybrid state. Ghost Bear always treated non. warriors well and in the Dominion the Raselhague government took over the Worker and Merchant Castes. And the whole thing is jointly run by the Khan and the Raselhague Prince and Assembly. Also they went from the fairly weak Krugsarmee to the Ghost Bear Touman (12 Galaxies no less).

Here’s the sad truth. British food was ranked one of the great world cuisines in the 1800s. Actual snooty French chefs said British food was the best.
It was destroyed by WW1, when it was made patriotic to eat crappy. Between the wars it really didn’t recover much, but then the rationing & privations of WW2 pretty much did it in.
It has slowly improved since the 60s but it still has a long way to go. They went from Beef Wellington to mushy peas.
I’ve spent plenty of time in Britain and yeah you can find some decent food, but it’s no wonder they’re hooked on Indo-Pak cuisine.

"British food bad" is just the biggest anti-White psyop ever, people have no idea what "British food" even is because its been adopted by so much of the world that people don't even recognize it as British in origin. Americans in particular are especially clueless about this

They're just not being told. Where's the story of the Scrap Iron Flotilla? Or the story about GARBO? Or Mad Jack Churchill? People would love those. But no. Hollywood doesn't care about interesting stories.

I feel like we've reached the end of WW2 movies. All of the interesting stories have been told. Now we get movies about black women sorting mail in England and the meteorologist that did the weather forecast for D-Day.

@ardan_blade @desert_sentinel I agree the Jihad was kinda weird. Also dislike Dominions Divided as it has the Ghost Bears suddenly act way out of character. The nice thing is unlike other systems BT is fan owned - if we dislike something from CGL we can just tell them where to go as minis not needed to play.

@desert_sentinel Things fell apart after the end of Bulldog, with the writing priorities changed to breaking up the Federated Commonwealth and pushing the setting back to "default". It was a big reason we settled on then to correct the timeline for Red Action.

I have to admit to being disheartened by the number of people who care nothing for the history and realism of Battletech.
There is something very near and dear to my heart in the want for a setting that remains true to itself.
Maybe it's just me.

@BasedBattletech Just remember that BT is a fandom run by the fans not CGL or any company. You don't need the minis to play and can ignore any books you don't like. Oh yes....Clan Ghost Bear FTW!

@ShinGoji123 I'm not a fan of what happened in it, but I've had it explained to me by someone with more insight into the matter. If you don't like it, just don't pick up the book and don't play that era.

@Lutra_Gaming BattleTech fandom runs from the bottom up. We've been handed around to different publishers in the past so that is all CGL is to us - a publisher. You don't need the minis to play or even all the sourcebooks or novels. This is a fan driven fandom - all you need is to be a fan.
