What has become of this nation? The toxic, evil rhetoric towards our President has got to stop. Psychopath Democrats only enable this behavior. Soon you will see leftist lunatics all over social media celebrating and responding in anger that the President is still alive. Our nation is sick.

In any normal country, Parliament would demand that the President’s office account for the very public role of a private citizen in official engagements. What security clearance does he have, and on what basis? What oath has he sworn to protect Zimbabwe’s National Interest? Under Mnangagwa, the Zimbabwean State has been dangerously informalised, official protocols discarded, statecraft dumbed down, and the dignity and integrity of the Office of the President reduced to that of a Temu mafia don! Contrary to @jahprayzah’s hit song, hazvisisina kana chiremerera!

1. I said it a month ago and will say it again. Hon Scott Sakupwanya is spot on. Delta has done so well but it is time to increase prize money. Eg @capsunitedfczw and @ScottlandFC use about $100k each per month which translates to $1,2 million a year or average $1m.

✈️ Imagine boarding a flight and settling into the seat you carefully selected and paid extra for, just to enjoy the view from the window. Minutes later, a mother with her crying child approaches and asks you to switch seats with the child. She's about to plead, as if giving in were your obligation. You're about to get up, because you were raised to be kind. But then you remember: you've been enduring the child's constant crying for several minutes. You stop and think: "Why should someone else have to put up with the tantrums of a child who barely knows me? Why give up what I worked hard to get just because?" So you calmly reply: "I'm sorry, I'd rather not move." That's what Jennifer, a passenger on a flight in Brazil, did. She refused to give up her seat and was filmed without her consent by the boy's mother, who accused her of lacking empathy: "I'm filming your face because it's disgusting that in the 21st century you have no empathy for a child." Jennifer didn't insult anyone. She didn't react with anger. But the media exposure cost her dearly: she went viral, was publicly shamed, all for saying "no" to something that wasn't her responsibility. Today, months later, Jennifer has decided to take action. She has sued the mother for defamation and emotional distress, and also the airline for failing to defend her against the harassment or intervene as they should have. According to her, the flight attendants even asked her to give in to the child's tantrum, which she considers inappropriate and unprofessional. Jennifer isn't seeking revenge. She's seeking respect. She's seeking to set boundaries. Because saying no is also a right. And this time, she might just win against the system that abandoned her. What do you think? Did he defend himself justifiably? Or do you think he overreacted?

Israel replaced the destroyed statue of Jesus with a new beautiful golden one and detained the soldier who destroyed it and the person who filmed it. This is how you self-correct. Muslim nations need to learn a thing or two from Israel.

@asantekotoko4 @Mutsvangwa4 The population was much lower, AIDS wasn't as widespread, cars were fewer hence car deaths fewer, fast/processed food weren't as prevalent so fewer cholesterol related deaths etc. However, people still died from some illnesses which are easily curable now

@Mutsvangwa4 Your statistics are off. Funerals were a very rare thing growing up in the 70s. Stats are usually skewered because the intention is always to associate longevity with advancement in medicine. Nothing could be further from the truth than that.

20 000 years ago half of human populations would die by the age of 30. In 1700s half of the human population would be dead by the age of 35 . What is amazing is that these people were all eating organic, breathing clean air and drinking pure water.

Yesterday at around 10:00 PM, I was driving an inDrive customer to Borrowdale. I used the road that passes by State House and the Harare Golf Club. Just after the durawall of State House, near the agricultural buildings, there was a single Presidential Guard soldier. He stopped a Toyota Aqua and made it pull over to the side of the road, but I did not stop because I did not realise I was being signalled. On my way back, the same soldier stopped me. He asked for my driver’s licence and car keys, which I handed over. He then asked where I was coming from, and I explained that I was coming from Borrowdale, as I was working as an inDrive driver. He said he wanted to deal with me for not stopping when I was allegedly signalled by officers near the Botanical Gardens. I told him that I did not see anyone signalling me to stop. He then said he was arresting me and that he would deal with me. When he attempted to put me in handcuffs, I refused. At that point, he cocked his gun and pointed it at me, saying, “Do you think I am playing? Do something.” Out of fear for my safety, I gave him the $20 I had. He also appeared to be intoxicated.

The CIO ABDUCTION—By the late eighties Strive Masiyiwa had acquired national prominence as a business leader. An incident occurred on June 17, 1990 that was to have a very profound impact on Masiyiwa’s life. He was abducted at gun-point from his office by the Central Intelligence Organization (CIO). There are conflicting reports as to why he was detained. He was told that he was being arrested and taken to the CIO headquarters under the Emergency Powers Act. However, he was taken to the Goromonzi detention centre, which had gained notoriety only some months earlier, when a young woman by name Rashiwe Guzha had been taken there, and no one had seen her since. She was (and still is) presumed dead. Guzha’s case had been widely reported in the press. As soon as Masiyiwa was taken away, his secretary informed one of his friends, who in turn got in touch with Anthony Eastwood, a partner in the law firm Kantor & Immerman and a well-known human rights activist. Eastwood urgently filed an application to the High Court compelling the CIO to release Masiyiwa. Masiyiwa was stripped naked, interrogated, and left in a cell until 9 PM, when his captor returned, handed him back his clothes, and asked him to get into a car. “I thought I was a dead man. I prayed in the car. In fact, I had been praying all day while in the cell. People say that I am a religious man; it started on that day3.” He was taken to a hotel in downtown Harare and asked to get out. A police officer told him several months later that he was very lucky to be alive. Resisting Political Corruption: Econet Wireless Zimbabwe (June 2003)
