I dont mind references but sometimes they push it so far that its just nostalgia baiting. Its like they are creatively bankrupt

@FeristalJ I hope not. And really i love FFVII, played basicly everything in the compendium (still want a Dirge of Cerberus remake)
However, i just hate it when ffxiv tries to shoehorn references so hard into their game that it becomes uninspired and boring for everyone that didnt play

@MekuMaki @explosiveoats @peachy_lychees they didnt, it never was a problem, the problem is with bone orientations. Wich is why we implemented changing bone orientations on import for GLTF imports.

@MekuMaki @peachy_lychees its not vfx editor thats borked. Its wrong bone orientations.
And for the updates i just followed what you said in the mektools release channel, that you dont like coding stuff and everything is moving over to AetherBlend

@ShinoMythmaker @peachy_lychees Bone orientation is only relevant when making animation mods, both can make animation mods. Just different workflows.
Mekrig can't make Facial Motions because VFX Editor is sort of borked for that.
C+ support with bustomize+ for mektools.
Better is subjective.

i recommend checking out both. Since i worked on both they will feel slightly the same, however considering the new features and active support i would recommend AetherBlend ... # not biased

@peachy_lychees @MekuMaki I made Aetherblend after splitting from Mektools cause Mektools was getting old and i wanted something new with a better and easier to update system.
AetherBlend also supports proper bone orientations, c+, a way better rig and active developement.
