Well I do create tickets to talk with tech support but I highly recommend to talk with someone from the team.
For me, Cold DM on LinkedIn to one of the developer working at X helped me to get my account back.

@ShippedClub @DmytroKrasun Interesting so they must immediately be on hand to use the creds after provided or a script does something right away or something, otherwise the 2FA expires in like 10-20 seconds after entering it

Our X accounts might be hacked.
1. In your X settings, find "Security and accounts access" then "Apps and sessions" and at "Connected apps" remove all connected apps.
2. Change passwords anyway.
I suspect it might be some application that was hacked or engineered to hack.
I saw the same message for many accounts in our community yesterday:

Ok, enough is enough. My other and main account @ikoichi has been stolen, and the @X support hasn't fixed the issue yet. On the 25th I received a phishing email. Thinking it was from X I provided my credentials, and... Password reset, and 2FA set up by the attackers👇

The problem is that I thought it was X and provided all the credentials, 2FA included.

@DmytroKrasun Do these phishing attacks only work if you don't have 2FA enabled?
Password managers are life savers in situations like these too because they don't autofill if the URL doesn't match the saved one

I used the regain access form but they didn’t do anything..
