In the last few years people started saying "so and so is now 'a thing'" As if to say a new quantum of experience, has now popped into existence, collective consciousness, or both.

If particles are "quantums" or packets of a wave-- then are words, thoughts, things (or "thinks" as Alan Watts would say) quantums of consciousness?

Current musing: Quantum Mechanics is as much the study of the mechanics of perception as it is the physical world.

In Kabbalah, the two pillars of the Tree of Life are Judgement ("Gevurah") and Mercy ("Chesed") which meet at Yesod: the place of relationship, union. No one likes being judged, but to enter into relationship means, perforce, to subject oneself to judgement by the other.

Currently reading "Quantum Physics for Poets." Contemplating the connections between Quantum Theory, Kabbalah, Language and Perception.

Resurrecting this account. Going forward, this will be a sketchbook for ideas and connections I am playing with. And (hoo boy hope I don't regret this...), I'm inviting thoughtful and courteous peer review.
