Police say members were arrested for human trafficking, s*xual assault, r*pe, forced marriage, and modern-day slavery. A total of six men and three women were arrested. The Ahmadi Religion of Peace and Light (AROPL) is a religious sect that derives from Shia Islam and has charity status in the UK. According to the Guardian, 150 people, 56 of them being children, live together in the gated property in Crewe. The leader of the group is Abdullah Hashem Aba Al-Sadiq, who claims to have been appointed by Muhammad.
