The U.S. military cannot afford to go back into war, and Iran know this Both sides don't want war, and as long both are pragmatic, we won't see a return to full blown war.

The WSJ reports Germany, the country that resisted European defense autonomy for decades, is now leading the effort. The trigger wasn't Russia. It wasn't Ukraine. It was Iran. Trump threatened to leave NATO after European allies refused to join Operation Epic Fury. Spain closed its airspace. France blocked weapons flights. Germany called the war illegal. Trump called them "cowards" and NATO "a paper tiger." Now European officials are working through dinner meetings and side conversations to figure out how to replace American leadership at every level of the alliance. @MarioNawfal The Trump admin decided that NATO does not serve the US interests anymore and they need a pivot, hence all the rethoric. It is a huge change in the way the US is marketing its global leadership from an alliance based collaborative mindset to a fully transactional one.

Truth is that NATO was probably the main vehicle which has lead the US to vecoming the most powerfull country in the world.

Trump threatened to invade Greenland, ended military support for Ukraine, leaving that burden of European defense against Russia entirely on NATO, and irrationally levied tariffs against our allies (but not on Russia), and then is disappointed when some allies didn't come to our aid in the war in Iran, even though we didn't need them (his words not mine). Illogical.
Time for pragmatic leaders in the entire alliance to get back on track. This race to the bottom serves no country's interest.

Cum se fabrică propaganda pentru taxe mai mari?
Rețeta e simplă: prezinți informații trunchiate și compari mere cu pere.
Pagina „imparțială” Politică la minut continuă campania pentru creșterea și mai mult a taxelor.
Am mai explicat modul de operare. Pasul unu: prezintă selectiv cifrele care le confirmă concluzia și le ignoră pe toate celelalte care o contrazic. Pasul doi: compară procente din lucruri diferite, bazându-se pe faptul că lumea nu are timp să-i verifice. Propagandă pe fugă.
Taxarea muncii e un caz clar. Unui român cu salariu mediu statul îi ia 42.8%. Unui polonez cu salariu mediu statul îi ia 34.7%. Iar dacă are doi copii îi ia doar 28.2%.
TVA în Polonia este mai mare la cota standard, dar cotele reduse sunt mult mai mici. Pe mâncare, un polonez plătește 5% TVA, un român 11%, peste dublu. Pentru medicamente, un polonez plătește 8% TVA, românul tot 11%. Nu e dublu, dar e mai mult.
Nu mai zicem că acum Polonia a redus imediat TVA-ul la 8% și accizele la minim pentru combustibil.
Nu reiau toate „greșelile”, le puteți vedea în postarea anterioară din comentarii.
În spatele unei pagini cu nume obiectiv și imparțial, oamenii aceștia nu fac informare, ci propagandă.
De aceea ajung să scrie că opinia mea ar fi că acum avem stat minimal în România. Vă dați seama, ei relatează că opinia mea e ceva care e contrar opiniei mele.
Dar de ce fac asta? Pentru că lucrurile merg prost în România acum. Și ei trebuie să spună că e din cauza liberalismului. Așa că trebuie să asocieze ce se întâmplă în România acum cu liberalismul, ca să împingă soluția lor: mai mult socialism, mai mult stat, mai multe taxe.
Ignoră că taxele au tot crescut. Ignoră că avem un număr record de companii de stat. Ignoră că avem cele mai mari taxe pe munca pe salarii mici din toată Europa. Ignoră că avem zeci de miliarde care se duc în diverse scheme pentru corporații. Ignoră că avem zero deschidere la concurență în multiple domenii cheie. Ignoră că oficial am scăzut în clasamentul libertății economice (și nici înainte nu stăteam prea grozav).
Ascund toate astea pentru că trebuie să spună că acum e liberalism și deci trebuie mai mult socialism.
Ar fi o dovadă de respect pentru cititori dacă și-ar asuma onest susținerea unui curent de idei. Nu e o problemă să susții socialismul. Dar este dezonest să folosești paravanul de obiectivitate pentru a promova o ideologie prin informații false.
Probabil că dacă și-ar asuma ideologia socialistă, lumea ar fi mai atentă la calculele prezentate. Și fix asta nu vor. E greu să ceri taxe mai mari dacă românii văd că sunt deja în top.
Propaganda făcută în felul acesta nu este cu nimic diferită decât ce face Călin Georgescu și influencerii care îl promovează. Tot ce se schimbă este direcția manipulării și brand-ul sub care se prezintă aceeași ideologie socialistă: mai puțină libertate pentru noi, mai multă putere și bani pentru ei.

@Ianuarie2010 @ClaudiuNasui Doar ca in Spania angajatorul plateste ceva pe baza unei aproximari. Nu plateste taxa exacta, iar statul la final de an recalculeaza si iti cere taxa. E exact cum am zis eu. Asta nu inseamna ca procentul e mai mare, ci doar ca statul iti ia banii altfel.

@fthegurus @WarMonitor3 Sending 2 ships will not be enough. The point is that, most likely, Trump wants the strait to remain closed as long as he manages to shift the blame to others. For the US the closure is not that bad and he might even see it as a way of gaining leverage vs the EU.

@Ianuarie2010 @ClaudiuNasui Si acum ca m-am documentat. IRPF-ul nu e o taxa suplimentara. Este doar cat trebuie sa platesti tu din buzunar la final de an +- vs cat s-a retinut la sursa. Procentul total e acelasi doar ca daca angajatorul nu retine corect la sursa tu trebuie sa platesti diferenta.

Despite losing, despite looking bad, he decided to simply walk away and make it seem like a win, and let the rest of the world sort the Strait of Hormuz
The President made the wrong decision getting into this war, but as things went sideways, he made the right decision to get out and not bog down the country into another forever war
I applaud that decision, a very difficult decision with all the hawks circulating him looking for blood
