Short Game Country Club

Michigan golfer here with an 8ish handicap. I've realized the most direct path to significantly improving my index runs through the game from 100 yards and in. Chasing that led me to realize there's so much short game content, opinions, equipment, tutorials, and data that don't get enough focused attention. I'm going deep on all of it with SGCC. Join me.

Vintage set coming along nicely. Missing a 3 wood a 2 iron and a few wedges. I’m super excited to get them out and report back. My goal is to break par with them from 6400 yards.

@ShortGameCC I think the very best thing you can do to improve the short game is stand by the green and toss about 100 balls underhand in a row. Grab your wedge, think of that feeling, and you’ll be able to replicate it. Do it from a step off the green up to maybe 15 or 20 yards.

Hot take: Older wedges still get the job done. My current wedges - Taylor Made RAC 52* and 56* have been trusty, but I’m likely leaving spin on the table. Time to upgrade or get another season out of them?

Talked with a player this morning about our last event. LAG PUTTING He was T3 in birdies, finished 18th on leaderboard. Eliminates his 3-putts, and he finishes T1
