@ShortGameCC It’s ‘aight. Lot of room for kids to roam and us to hit golf balls, baseballs, play football, etc.

When you're in wedge range, what yardage is too close for a rangefinder? And then are you going by feel or walking it off?

@Maxupnorth1 @Top100Rick I played around with it for short chips. Distance control was hard but I did find it easy for good clean strikes consistently.

This is one of the craziest driver swings I’ve ever seen. Cross handed. John Daly backswing. Will Zalatoris side bend. Full send! I’ve watched it ten times. I’m obsessed. BRB going to go up to the simulator and see if this is what I’ve been missing!

@Ohmsx @Top100Rick It seems like every few years there’s a good college golfer playing that way, but they never seem to really excel at the next level.

@Top100Rick Cross handed swings are referenced in some 1860's literature...even then they considered it effective for a (very) few people, but too unorthodox to teach.

@z_groove @CoachFHM I pull better when I squat first. The fatigue doesn’t really set in right away for me as long as I’m pulling fairly quickly after squatting. When I separated them I’d find my pulling was inconsistent from squatting heavy earlier in the week. You do feel wiped out though after.

@CoachFHM Do you do squats and deadlifts in a same session. I do simply to be time efficient, but it is taxing, but I do enjoy it. Others advise on spliting

You do know you can get strong on both Deadlifts and Romanian deadlifts together. Tickling 225lbs on RDL’s ain’t the saving grace you think it is. You move 405lbs for a good 8-10 with an RDL and you’ll have a legit posterior chain. Too many looking for an easy way out.

@JBGOOTER @TourSwingsTommy With the different brands out there bringing cheaper options everyone should be playing a urethane covered ball. For most of the round it won’t make much difference, but with a surlyn ball you won’t ever be able to hit shots around the green that can check when you need to

@TourSwingsTommy Last year, when I made the jump from a 36 handicap to a 28 I really noticed a difference. Once I became a 28 I finally understood the need to use ProV1s. Man are they nice you can really work the ball.

At what handicap level do you believe golfers start to seriously notice a difference in golf balls? I’m not talking ProV1 vs some water logged Top Flight. I’m talking about a Chrome soft vs a Bridgestone etc…

Double header for the HS today. Now at softball. I love baseball/softball season. I wish I would have taken video of her third at bat she was really swinging hard, looked much better than the first two.

@sam_gzstrength Might need to revisit the goal of 405 RDL for reps again soon. It felt good to have just a different type of goal outside the main lifts for a while.

One of the interesting things about RDL's is that they can be HEAVY you can ride them up close to your full Deadlift strength with practice because you get some stretch reflex in the bottom 135 x 12 x 3 RDL's aint doing shit just because you feel the stretch 405+ x 6-8 tho...

@ShortGameCC I think the very best thing you can do to improve the short game is stand by the green and toss about 100 balls underhand in a row. Grab your wedge, think of that feeling, and you’ll be able to replicate it. Do it from a step off the green up to maybe 15 or 20 yards.

There are countless Short Game training aids, gadgets and tools out there. What's the one that is actually worth it? And which ones are just taking up space in your garage?

@Jordy__Long I’ve been feeling that pull in different directions for a couple months now. Had a small set back lifting, tons of trainings for work, and now we are into baseball with 3 different teams for my 4 kids. Feels like I’m just treading water.

Only after having kids did I realize the challenge of staying strong with small kids. There's a tension between 2 things: 1. Not wanting to take an hour for "you" after you've worked all day and your wife has watched the kids all day and night and needs a break. 2. Not wanting your kids to have a weak dad. Hard to solve but not impossible. It helps seeing other dads on here getting lifts in when life is chaotic.

425 1x5 Still working my way back to heavy. Keeping consistent is tough with the kiddos but we press on. Thanks to my amazing wife who affords me the time to keep building to be a strong dad. ❤️

Fresh out of the wrapper. 54-12 and 58-10. Went up 2° of bounce from my current wedges for both. The blue looks incredible in person. Would have gone with it for both but I couldn’t get the bounce I wanted on the 58° in the pro wedge. Trade off buying from a discount site.

@Guidry_golf_fit I read an article with Bob Feller saying he played football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and didn’t touch a baseball until the spring hs baseball season and a short summer schedule. I know it’s different now but he was still a flame thrower with a long career.

Dr. JP Guidry - More Distance & Less Pain ⛳
99% of the time your child's arm pain is a combo of too many reps, not enough recovery, and being weak. Considering those are the causes, the solution should be simple right? Hint: It's not more games and pitching lessons Limit reps, take more breaks and get strong Yet very few parents and coaches want to commit to that solution

This is a great example of how far behind we still are when it comes to exercise science knowledge. Someone performs a deadlift with less than a 100% ‘flat back’ and people lose their minds. We’ve got strength coaches in the comments claiming guaranteed injury from this type of technique. Absolute morons. We have no evidence to suggest that lifting with a flexed spine increases risk of injury. We do have evidence to suggest that disc herniations can happen even when the spine is in neutral. We also have evidence to suggest that the spine always flexes when you deadlift - regardless of whether you want it to or not. The injury risk during resistance training is extremely low overall (2-4 injuries per 1000 participation hours). Humans are built in a wide variety of ways and therefore will move in a wide variety of different ways *shock*. Stop fear mongering people away from lifting weights.

@Noodles42597090 @benljohnson1996 If you’re pulling a near max set you’re not going to be able to keep your back perfectly rigid like you would on say sets of 5 across. As long as you’re staying tight and form doesn’t completely degrade you should be fine.
