@lennysan Here is a list of what PMs want their job to be about, in reverse order. This isn’t a list of what AI will replace, just want they want it to replace. 🤪

Architects need to speak many languages - not just coding, but also business, security, operations... all the parts that go into a successful project. @ThomasBetts talks on .NET Rocks at dotnetrocks.com/details/1858 about being a better architect!

"Don't build the thing right, build the right thing?" Hmmm... "We would like this to fly our airplane, but poorly and hurriedly with lots of bugs and cryptic, confusing code expressions nobody can read," said nobody ever.

@shreyas It would be fun to have a follow up poll on percentage of IC vs manager respondents. Optics being the top reason sounds like a lot of people saying it isn’t my fault, if only people understood me.

Skipping dictionary definitions and official standards for a minute, I have a Q for U: When you hear "are you doing projects or product work" what do you see as the difference between the two?

I became a product manager 7 years ago. Interesting facts: 1. I've worked in 6 companies 2. I've failed more than I've succeeded 3. I've become better after every failure. This has made me great at what I do. What has made you great?

@FabricePipart Agile thinking reduces risk & creates better products faster with early revenue. SAFe does none of that. There's no such thing as "standard Agile." In fact, there is zero agility if you standardize a process across the org. Agile teams decide who does what, when, and how.

We had some layoffs at work today. I know an absolutely outstanding development manager who was impacted by this who I can very happily recommend to anyone

@adymitruk @i_give_escheat @EventModeling What a master class in how not to receive feedback… all you had to say was I’ll look into creating some more beginner level documentation but instead you said my experiences are more valid than yours and it isn’t working for you because you are lazy.
