Liquidity pools are assets held on behalf of the holders/customers to maintain adequate utility for the use or swap of the assets. In a decentralized case, such as smart contracts, these assets should be independent of company funds for the sole purpose of the product (token) utility backing. This is what's called an implied contract agreement between the customer and the business who created the product. When someone buys or swaps into a token, it is implied that the company will not directly damage the usability of the asset, ie. draw down liquidity or rugpull while the person who purchases the token agrees on its advertised utilities for personal use.
