@RioSlade My great-grandfather was regarded as a brilliant diagnostician. He often said, "Listen to the patient, and he will diagnose himself." Physicians simply haven't the time to listen today.

My primary care physician was laid off. She was told that she was spending too much time with her patients. They wanted her to see 100+ patients daily. She maxed out at 25. She was the best doctor I've ever had.

@tjmussett Never ask for medical advice on social media. Take a more in-focus photo and upload it to an online healthcare provider. It may cost a few bucks, but it's a lot smarter than listening to the idiots on X.

@Tori_TLCR Wow. Sounds like a cult. I do know the local Sobey's grocery manager. He's salaried, so he works 60 hours/week for not much money. He's there every time I go shopping.

@Shrdlu I wouldn't be surprised. I got hired at the warehouse a few years ago. I didn't keep the job but did the training. The training is full of "we're all family here". In my experience, that's never a good sign.

@Tori_TLCR I've no doubt. More than once, a Sobey's worker has confided in me how poorly they are treated and how little they are paid. It's worse than Loblaws, from what I gather.

@Shrdlu Yeah, they do make them, they probably also have to look out for mystery shoppers sent there to make sure they're doing that and other parts of their job. I remember getting a mystery shopper report back in the day when I worked as a cashier.

@Tori_TLCR The last time I was asked, I gave the cashier a look and explained I would donate directly rather than give any more of my money to Empire. She said, "Yeah, I'm embarrassed to ask, but they make me."

@Shrdlu Yeah, I love when I am at the checkout looking at the new (in the last couple of years), security guard they need because people can't afford to eat anymore and are stealing more and being asked by the machine if I want to donate $2 for hunger caused by their greed.

I've boycotted HBO and Netflix, and I don't go to see films. The last one I saw, I was dragged to a repertory theatre by my ex, Jon Favreau's Chef. It was poorly researched, pretentious, and the acting was abysmal. I've hated Jon Favreau since. Happily, he's not a contestant on Taskmaster like Nanjiani. I doubt I'll go back to the cinema until I exhaust all the great films of the past, which I doubt I will do in my lifetime.
