@KrisZellner It would lead to minutes where Bockwinkel does all he can to escape only to quickly be snapped back into by Robinson... total craftsmanship

Here is 140 seconds of Billy Robinson & Nick Bockwinkel making the struggle around a headlock look beautiful..... Just great professional wrestling

If the Red Sox want to win 89 games this year, they need to play .578 ball the rest of the way. If they want to win 90, .585 ball. 91? .592 ball. I projected them to win 92 games. They would need to play .600 ball to win 92 games. Hole is getting deeper to climb out of.

@MattGross87 It's why exit velocity is not as important as people think it is. A hard hit out is a hard hit out. Advanced metric coaching is ruining a hitter with great potential.

Over the last eight days, Roman Anthony has hit 11 balls into play with an exit velocity of 100mph or higher and it's resulted in just four hits and one extra base hit.

@elliottswrstlin The WWE narrative on most things is this level inaccurate. I remember reading about bloody matches in the up's and seeing gore in the Apter mags, Wrestling Revue etc.

There were tables, chairs, barbed wire, fire, ladders, scaffolds used in American wrestling well before ECW. Bruiser Brody vs Abdullah the Butcher was a touring feud for the entire decade for goodness sake. The Sheik is one of the biggest draws in the history of wrestling.

@BallParkBuzz He has potential to be one of the best hitters. Analytic driven lineups are trash.

With the Red Sox struggling to consistently score, I think you have to continue to shake things up until something works. I’d try moving Roman Anthony down to 2 or 3. Anthony only has 3 RBI on the season. He’s one of their best hitters. Anthony is someone I want to see up with RISP. He needs more opportunities to drive runners in.

@BallParkBuzz No signs of life will be found. This is not a great group of hitters.

The Red Sox offense ranks 23rd in hits, 23rd in walks, and dead last in home runs. Everyone is healthy so this is the desired group from the front office. It’s only April 18th but at some point the offense has to start to show signs.

@GenTXer2 I’ll go with Heaven Sent, but so many great songs to choose from. How Oasis can get a Hall of Fame place ahead of INXS defies belief.

I wrote this almost ten years ago (2016), so bear with me but this was my final argument for Nick Bockwinkel as the Greatest Wrestler Ever, with a special bent towards arguing against the people who said we didn't have enough of his career on tape to put him #1.

@BrianRSolomon This is 100% the case for me too. It's such an overhyped period of time. I will take WCCW 82-84, Mid South UWF 83-86, AWA 1984-85, WWF 83-85, Carolinas 81-86, AJPW & NJPW anytime over itb

The most ironic thing about being obsessed with old wrestling footage and watching it all the time is that the three things I never, ever revisit are: WWF Attitude Era, WCW nWo era, and ECW.
