JSW Infrastructure Ltd has received approval to begin operations at Berth No. 7 and its backup area at Netaji Subhash Dock under the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port in Kolkata. The operations will be carried out by JSW Kolkata Container Terminal Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company set up for the project. The company had signed a concession agreement with the port authority in September 2025 for a period of 30 years from the date of the concession award. Berth No. 8 and the mechanization of Berths 7 and 8 at Netaji Subhash Dock. JSW Infrastructure confirmed the project would involve an estimated capital expenditure of ₹740 crore and would be completed over two years, while allowing operations to commence during construction.
