Alright, finally getting to the media I've finished in 2023! Our first thing on the list is Mistborn, a book released in 2006, written by Brandon Sanderson. It has a *wonderfully* creative magic system in Allomancy, and I love the cast of characters, from Kelsier to Vin to Ham.

automatically losing in persona when the protagonist dies is so dogshit, the final boss just hit me with fear and then did the move that insta kills you if you have a status affect in one turn when i was like 2 turns away from winning
