BREAKING: The Court of Appeal has overturned the Federal High Court’s decision ordering INEC to deregister five political parties, including the ADC.
The rest of the parties affected by the deregistration order of the Federal High Court are Accord Party, Action Alliance (AA), Action Peoples Party (APP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
The appellate court specifically declared the judgment that ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deregister the parties “null and void”.
The court, while describing the judgment as “a nullity”, held that “what the learned trial court did amounted to judicial impertinence or what the Supreme Court called judicial insubordination.”
The three-man panel of the appellate court presided over by Justice Abba Mohammed, in a unanimous decision, held that the trial court had no jurisdiction to hear the case in the first instance.
The appellate court noted that the trial court was wrong to have proceeded with the delivery of the judgment despite the order of the Court of Appeal directing a stay of proceedings, which included the delivery of the judgment.
It also noted that the 1st Respondent had no locus standi to institute the action in the first place, thereby setting aside the judgment of the trial court.

Who is fooling who?: Shared as received.
"So, Adeyemi was SSA to Osun governor for about 6 months? So he scammed the state government of about 200 million naira. So, the EFCC arrested him based on a petition from the government. So the EFCC recovered about 180 million naira from Adeyemi. The same efcc chairman months later hosted Adeyemi in his office. 😁😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣😜😜
So Adeyemi had 6 police officers and 2 DSS operatives in his security details. So Adeyemi’s official cars and those of his security officers bore the FGN Presidency as plates numbers 😴 🙄 🤔 😀 😁😁😁🤣🤣🤣.
So Adeyemi was formally invited to be on Shettima's entourage twice on the vice president’s trip abroad 🤣🤣😁😁😜
So the NASS (both the Senate and HOR) nominated members to on Adeyemi’s official trip abroad 🤣🤣😁😁😜😜🫣🫣🫣
Interesting days ahead sha! 🤣😜🤪🤪😃
So Adeyemi had 3 federal civil servants on level 17 (Directors) deployed to his office 🤣😜😁😃🤣😃
So the fake agency had an official website. A working one at that. And the NSA, DSS DG, and communications minister "didn't" know 😃😃🤣😁😁😁😁
So, Adeyemi requested and got approval for his agency to have offices in the 36 states of the Federation. And in federal secretariat in the states 😁😃😃🤣😜🤪
ALL of them; NSA, COS, AGF, DG, Budget Office, SGF can only deceive themselves and those who want to be deceived."

Sideone100 Mr. Dele Farotimi's post uses an **extended metaphor** (or allegory).
The "assembly of hens" represents a community or nation. "Foxes" as "midwives and wet nurses" symbolizes appointing untrustworthy or predatory figures to protective roles. "Bemoans the untimely deaths of its offspring" highlights the resulting harm.
It's wrapped in a rhetorical question for emphasis. A sharp critique through vivid imagery.
English

@YourstrulyDidi2 @DeleFarotimi @grok @grok what figure of speech did Mr Delefarotimi make use of, for is post?
English

@DeleFarotimi I just wish @grok could be friendly for once with account without blue tick by lecturing me with the figure of speech used in these sentence.

@TheoAbuAgada @ADCVanguard_ This guy didn’t say anything about those who won the party primaries and were cheated, but he’s here condemning the people that are showing their grievances. Hmmm Peter Obi should be wise enough to know they that these people want to ride in his glory and neglect his people 📌

The NDC will survive beyond 2027, Prophet of Doom Obiasogu.
When our visionary National Leader, Distinguished Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, set out to register and build this party which attracted so many prominent people from across the political spectrum in Nigeria, many of you were not even in the picture.
We will not allow mischievous elements like you to undermine a political party we laboured to build.
You may see it as a mere vehicle to grab power and dump, but some of us see it as an institution rooted in ideology for a better and working Nigeria.
In Nigeria’s fluid and often personality-driven political landscape, where parties frequently serve as temporary platforms for individual ambitions, Dickson is charting a markedly different path as Founder and National Leader of the NDC. NDC is being deliberately built not as a short-term electoral vehicle but as a durable, ideology-based institution capable of outliving its current crop of leaders.
This deliberate approach to party-building reflects Dickson’s long-held conviction that Nigerian democracy requires strong, values-driven organisations rather than coalitions of convenience.
We will be here for a very long time with or without characters like you.
Obiasogu David@afrisagacity
What is certain is that the NDC WILL not exist after the 2027 elections, unless it wins the Presidential election. If it loses the number one position, for which all its aggrieved members appear to keep calm while feeling hard done by, even those who win in other positions will defect before the end of next year. I am not a prophet of doom and do not preach chaos either. But the sun cannot be covered with bare hands. Hope this helps.✍️

I think Iran made a very horrible mistake by introducing the Strait of Hormuz as a leverage in this war.
Now, the narrative is changing so fastly. Donald Trump is gradually increasing his stakes on this very important economic route.
Since May, he has secured the safe transit of over 900 commercial vessels and about 450 million barrels of crude through the Strait of Hormuz.
He did this at a zero charges and has recently addressed the US as the "Guardians of the Strait."
This is not war for Donald Trump.
This is a battle for country over 20% global energy supply.
And he's really winning.

Today at 6 p.m. ET, U.S. forces began launching new airstrikes against Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction. The strikes are designed to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and swiftly punish Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces who launched attacks against American service members in Jordan last night.

Iranian missiles struck & “damaged” a significant amount of American Blackhawk helicopters at a US base in eastern Jordan — NYT.

Arya Yadegaar@AryJeayBackup
Footages show how the US Patriot system failed to intercept the Iranian missiles, which caused them to struck their intended targets inside King Faisal AB in Jordan, hitting US forces accommodation places.
